Forest Oaks Admin Office phones are working again, but wifi throughout the facilities will be unavailable until we can get new network switches. For those unaware, we got hit by two lightning strikes last week and that fried a lot of stuff. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Forest Oaks Phone, Wifi and Generator Updates: Wed., June 2

Due to the storms on Tuesday, June 2, Forest Oaks Admin office phones and all WiFi is offline until further notice. We do not have a timeline for repairs from Comcast. If you need to contact the office, email is quickest way: [email protected].

Also, the generator for clubhouse and fitness center is also offline. If we lose power, all buildings, including the pool, will be closed until power is restored. We do not have a timeline for repairs for the generator.

Forest Oaks Pool summer hours start today for all-member access!!! It is now officially summer (as if the weather wasn't already telling you that).

Forest Oaks Pool Hours for June:
Sundays: noon - 6 p.m.
Mondays: Closed
Tuesdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Wednesdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Thursdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Fridays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturdays**: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Last FOST Barracuda swim meet is Saturday, June 6, so pool will be open from 4 - 9 p.m. for all-member access (weather permitting).

A couple of important reminders before coming to the pool.
All members must have their access cards of member IDs and present them to the guards at the pool gate. All guest passes can be purchased with cash with the guards as well.

Pool guests are limited to 2 guests per member.

Guest passes are $5 for guests 18 years or older and $2 for guests ages 5- 17. Guests 4 years old and under are free.

Minors 13 and under must be accompanied and actively supervised by an adult 18 years or older at all times.

Appropriate swimwear required at all times and must be appropriate for a family pool facility.

Swim tests are required for all minors 11 and under before they are allowed to enter the pool. If they do not test or do not successfully pass, an adult 18 year or older must be in water, actively supervising them at all times.

Safety breaks occur the last 10 minutes of every hour. Only adults 18 years and older may remain in the water.

The following are prohibited: running, dunking, pushing, shoving or other actions deemed unsafe in a pool facility, hanging on lane lines; diving, flips, somersaults and cannonballs from the sides of the pool, faking drowning; glass containers, smoking, alcohol.

Just a reminder for those looking for Adult Swim hours in June.

Now that Klein ISD has completed another year, the FOST Barracuda Swim Team practices have moved to the morning hours. No adult swim hours are available until the swim team season ends on June 20. Adult Swim hours will restart on Tuesday, June 23.

Forest Oaks Pool all-member access has started and the weekly pool hours are:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Wednesdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Thursdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Fridays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Saturdays: 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
NOTE: Last home swim meet is Saturday, June 6, so the pool
will not open for all member access until 4 p.m. (weather
permitting)
Sundays: noon - 6 p.m.

Adult Swim will restart on Tuesday, June 23 and go through Tuesday, August 11 with the following hours:
Mondays: Closed
Tuesdays: 9 - 11 a.m. Pool opens for all-member access at 11 a.m.
Wednesdays: 9 - 11 a.m. Pool opens for all-member access at 11 a.m.

Starting Wed., August 12, the first day of school for Klein ISD, Adult Swim hours will expand through the end of the pool season which will be determined in October or November, depending on weather conditions.

Park Walking Path Paving Project Starts Thursday, May 28 - Friday, June 5

The WCID110 Board of Directors unanimously voted to improve accessibility throughout Forest Oaks Park by paving all current crushed granite walking paths with new asphalt. This project is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 28 and, weather permitting, be completed by no later than Friday, June 5.

Our current crushed granite walking paths have, over time, become a burden for maintenance due to deterioration of path edges, trees roots, depressions, and rising costs of new material. By asphalting these paths, we expect the asphalt paths to be more accessible for more park users, allow users to expand where they travel throughout the park, be easier to maintain for our staff, and provide a safer, more level surface for everyone. These new paths will be 6' wide and 2" thick.

They will be working on the blue path first, then the green path. If weather does not impact the project, it should be completed by Friday, June 5 at the latest.
