40 years of Spokane Sports. And behind every milestone is a community that showed up.

At our 40th anniversary open house, we celebrated the people who have helped shape this organization and Spokane’s sports community over the years, from board members and longtime stakeholders to partners who continue to invest in what sports can do for our region.

Four decades of partnerships have helped bring bigger events, new opportunities, and lasting impact to Spokane. And the next chapter is already underway.

Help us build on that legacy. Support the Spokane Sports 40th Anniversary Impact Campaign and invest in what comes next.

We have something worth celebrating.

The Spokane Sports Board of Directors has approved a new five-year contract for CEO Ashley Blake.

Ashley has held several roles throughout her time with Spokane Sports before being named CEO in 2022. Now, the Board has made another five-year commitment to her leadership and the continued momentum of Spokane Sports.

The news comes during a pretty special month around here as we prepare to celebrate Spokane Sports’ 40th anniversary on October 22.

Congratulations, Ashley. We’re excited to make this one official.

The Battle for the 509 may be a newer tradition, but the cross-country legacy behind it dates back to the early 1900s, when Spokane and the surrounding region began building a reputation for producing some seriously fast runners and teams.

Lace up your running shoes and mark your calendars! See you on October 10th. 🏃🏼‍♂️💨
