For the second year in a row, more than a mile of the Spokane River has run dry, with low flows affecting aquatic life and the health of the river beyond the dry reach. Spokane Riverkeeper is asking Washington leaders to work with Tribal governments, Idaho, scientists, water managers and the community on a more adaptive approach to protecting Spokane River flows as drought, climate change, snowpack and water use continue to affect the basin.
