Trauma doesn't show up in performance reviews. It shows up as the high performer who suddenly goes quiet.

It looks like avoidance. Disengagement. Over-functioning. None of those things get flagged as trauma — they get managed as performance issues. And the root never gets addressed.
Trauma-informed leadership changes that.

Nobody puts "I'm dysregulated" in their performance review.

But it shows up. In the missed deadlines. The conflict avoidance. The person who over-functions until they suddenly go completely silent. The leader who can't give feedback without shutting down.

Trauma doesn't announce itself in the workplace. It disguises itself as performance issues — and gets managed accordingly. Which means the root never gets addressed.

This is why trauma-informed training isn't optional anymore. It's the difference between managing symptoms and actually solving the problem.

When performance drops, most organizations double down on productivity.

But here’s what I see inside teams:
Nervous systems in survival mode.
Leaders reacting instead of responding.
High performers quietly disengaging.

Burnout isn’t a time-management issue.
It’s a regulation issue.

I lead trauma-informed performance workshops that teach teams how to:
• Recognize dysregulation
• Build psychological steadiness
• Improve decision-making under pressure

If your team feels stretched thin, let’s talk.

I'm so tired of resilience culture telling women they just need to be stronger.

You are already doing the hardest job in the room. You are already strong. You have been strong for so long you've forgotten what it feels like not to be.

What you don't have — what nobody gave you — are the tools to process what all that strength is costing you.

That's what I do. Not toughen you up. Build you out. Give you something real to work with.

Because you were never the problem.

Whose voice are you actually listening to?

Because most of us are walking around with a soundtrack that isn't ours.

A parent's opinion. a boss's criticism. a comment someone made in 2007 that lodged somewhere deep and never left. the comparison to someone else's highlight reel. the standard you never actually set for yourself but somehow feel like you're failing to meet.

That's not your voice.

Your voice is the one underneath all of that. the one that knows what you actually want. what you actually value. what actually feels true when you strip away everything you've been told to be.

Finding that voice — and learning to trust it over the noise — is one of the hardest and most important pieces of mental performance work I do with women.

Not because the other voices aren't loud.

But because yours is the only one that actually knows where you're going.

Kick the others out. 🦋

Women don't burn out from weakness. They burn out from carrying compounded loads in systems that were never designed to sustain them.

Research shows women are 45% more likely to suffer from work stress than men. The solution isn't teaching women to carry more gracefully. It's building organizations that stop requiring it.

Let me be really clear about what psychological safety is not.

It's not everyone being nice. It's not avoiding hard conversations. It's not a culture where nobody ever disagrees.

Psychological safety is what allows people to say the hard thing, take the risk, fail, and come back. It's the condition under which high performance actually becomes possible.

Without it your team is spending enormous amounts of energy managing how they're perceived instead of doing their best work.

Build the safety. Watch the performance follow.

When leaders are dysregulated, culture absorbs it.

In my workshops, we focus on:
• Recognizing stress responses in real time
• Communicating without escalation
• Leading without fear-based pressure

Regulated leadership isn’t soft.
It’s strategic.

Let’s equip your team.

recovery is not a reward.

recovery is not something you earn after you've pushed hard enough. it's not the treat at the end of a productive week. it's not what happens when you finally have permission to stop.

it is a requirement.

just like sleep. just like food. just like the rest day after leg day that your body will absolutely make you take one way or another.

your mental performance depends on recovery the same way your physical performance does. and when you skip it — consistently, because there's always more to do — you're not being productive.

you're borrowing from a account that's already overdrawn.

so I'm giving you permission right now.

not that you need it from me. but if having someone say it out loud helps — here it is.

recovery is not optional. it is not laziness. it is not falling behind.
it is part of the work.

schedule it. protect it. treat it with the same seriousness you treat everything else on your calendar.

because the version of you that actually performs at the level you're capable of?

Post-traumatic growth isn't about being grateful for what broke you. It's about building capacity from it. There's a difference — and it matters.

PTG is real and research-supported. But it's not passive. It's built — through processing, skill-building, and community.

You don't have to be grateful for what broke you. Just decide what you're building with the pieces.
