The championship game was not short of intense moments, but Sparta Post 100 19U is JD Olson Memorial Tournament champions! Here is the Game Changer recap:

Sparta Post 100 19u Triumphs Over 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball In Late-Game Victory in JD Olson Tournament Championship!

Sparta Post 100 19u defeated 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball 6-5 on Sunday after taking the lead late in the game. Sparta Post 100 19u were down 5-4 in the top of the sixth inning when an error scored two runs.

Sparta Post 100 19u rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-1 in the second.

A double by David Fabry put Sparta Post 100 19u on the board in the top of the first.

Killean Ryan singled down the right field line, which helped 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.

2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Mason Sweenor doubled to right field, Ethan Gaston walked, Brayden Gleason walked, and Jack Siik singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Sparta Post 100 19u jumped into the lead in the top of the sixth when Seb Lopez singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Zach Gibson earned the win for Sparta Post 100 19u. The right-handed pitcher gave up zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Siik took the loss for 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, giving up zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one. Landen Bolen stepped on the hill first for Sparta Post 100 19u. The pitcher allowed five hits and five runs over five innings, striking out three and walking six. Ryan started on the bump for 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball. The hurler allowed eight hits and six runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three.

Lopez and Simon Schmitz each collected two hits for Sparta Post 100 19u. Fabry, Jackson Bender, and Lopez each drove in one run for Sparta Post 100 19u. Lopez and Schmitz each stole multiple bases for Sparta Post 100 19u.

Siik went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball in hits. Gleason paced 2026 Negaunee Seniors Legion Baseball with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Gaston stole two bases.

Sparta Post 100 19u plays Onalaska Post 336 19u in their next game.

This weekend was a huge success, thank you to the parents who volunteered, thank you to the players who played their tails off and helped prep the field all weekend, thank you to Jim and Julie for all of their support, and thank you to everyone who showed up and supported this team.

Our final day of the JD Olson Memorial 19U tournament schedule! Come watch Sparta Post 100 compete for a championship at 2:30 (we hope to run ahead and start at 2:00). Sparta is 3-0, Onalaska is 2-1, Negaunee is 1-1, Osseo is 0-2, Athens is 0-2.

Sparta Post 100 19u Score In Multiple Innings To Take Down Osseo-Fairchild

Sparta Post 100 19u kept adding on runs in a 10-1 victory over Osseo-Fairchild on Saturday at 310 Drake St.

Sparta Post 100 19u got on the board in the top of the first inning after Jackson Bender doubled to right field, and Osseo-Fairchild committed an error, each scoring one run.

Sparta Post 100 19u added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Bender walked, and David Fabry grounded out, each scoring one run.

Sparta Post 100 19u added two runs in the third after Beckett Iverson singled to center field.

Fabry earned the win for Sparta Post 100 19u. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and one run over seven innings, striking out two and walking none. Koxlien took the loss for Osseo-Fairchild. The hurler went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering eight runs (six earned) on five hits, striking out two and walking nine.

Kolten Kaat and Blake Iverson each collected two hits for Sparta Post 100 19u. Fabry and Iverson each drove in two runs for Sparta Post 100 19u. Sparta Post 100 19u had patience at the plate, accumulating 12 walks for the game. Fabry, Bender, Kaat, and Landen Bolen led the team with two walks each. Sparta Post 100 19u turned one double play in the game. Sparta Post 100 19u were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Simon Schmitz had the most chances in the field with 10.

Hanson went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Schmidt went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Osseo-Fairchild in hits. Osseo-Fairchild turned one double play in the game.

Zach Gibson drove in four runs on two hits to lead Sparta Post 100 19u past Athens Legion Baseball Post 4 12-0 on Saturday at 310 Drake St. Gibson doubled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two.

An error put Sparta Post 100 19u on the board in the bottom of the first.

Sparta Post 100 19u scored six runs on three hits in the bottom of the second inning. An error scored two runs, Landen Bolen doubled, scoring two runs, and Gibson doubled, scoring two runs.

Sparta Post 100 19u scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Gibson doubled, scoring two runs, Blake Iverson singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and an error scored one run.

Simon Schmitz earned the win for Sparta Post 100 19u. The pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Joe Servi began the game for Athens Legion Baseball Post 4. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and 12 runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking five.

Mason Belter went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Athens Legion Baseball Post 4 in hits.

Runs Hard To Come By In Sparta Post 100 19u Win Versus Onalaska Post 336 19u

Both teams were strong on the hill on Friday, but Sparta Post 100 19u defeated Onalaska Post 336 19u 3-1. Jackson Bender started the game for Sparta Post 100 19u and recorded 24 outs.

Sparta Post 100 19u got on the board in the top of the eighth inning after Seb Lopez tripled to left field, Onalaska Post 336 19u committed an error, and David Fabry singled to right field, each scoring one run.

Bender earned the win for Sparta Post 100 19u. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and one run (zero earned) over eight innings, striking out four and walking one. Bradyn Delong started the game for Onalaska Post 336 19u. The starting pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two.

Lopez led Sparta Post 100 19u with two hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Fabry, Landon Connelly, and Lopez each drove in one run for Sparta Post 100 19u.

Ian Kowal led Onalaska Post 336 19u with one run batted in. Hunter Morse, Sage Wieman, Cooper Rudie, Tyler Kowal, and Carter Delong each collected one hit for Onalaska Post 336 19u.

Sparta Post 100 19u will play Athens Legion Baseball Post 4 for their next game on Saturday in the JD Olson Memorial Tournament at 9:00am! All games are at the Sparta High School field.
