❤️ A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our summer volleyball program a success!

Throughout June and July, we hosted Skills & Drills for our 5th-8th grade athletes, with each grade level receiving two weeks of instruction sometime throughout the summer. More than 40 youth athletes participated, and it was awesome to watch their skills, confidence, and love for the game continue to grow!

We also had more than 30 high school athletes take advantage of our Monday through Friday Open Net sessions. This allowed our athletes additional opportunities to sharpen their skills, get extra touches, and work with their teammates throughout the summer.

Thank you to all of our coaches for the time, effort, and energy you invested in our athletes throughout the summer. We also appreciate the Sparta Area School District for allowing us to use the facilities and helping make these opportunities possible.

We're excited to see all of the hard work from this summer carry over into the upcoming season for all of our athletes. Go Spartans! 🏐

🏐 We're Looking for Coaches! 🏐

Sparta High School Volleyball is looking for 2 high school volleyball coaches to join our coaching staff for the upcoming season!

Three Spartan Volleyball teams competed last Friday, and it was a great day of competition! 🏐

Our JV squad brought home the championship and earned tournament champion T shirts! Our Varsity team battled its way to the Final Four before falling to Fall Creek in a hard fought match. JV2 continued to improve throughout the day and gained valuable experience with every match.

We have one more summer tournament this Friday in Bangor. These tournaments have been a great opportunity for our athletes to compete against strong teams, continue improving, and prepare for the upcoming season. Go Spartans! ❤️

🏐 Volleyball season officially kicks off on August 17!

If you're looking to get some extra reps in before tryouts, be sure to check out the 3C Camp. Jackie does a fantastic job running the camp, and it's a great opportunity to build your skills, gain confidence, and get ready for the season. We hope to see many of our future Spartans there!

What a great day of volleyball on Friday at the Black River Falls Tournament! Our JV team finished 1st in their pool and went on to win the tournament championship! 🏆. Our Varsity team also took 1st in their pool and finished 2nd with a hard-fought match against Catholic Columbus. We will be in La Crosse this Friday with 3 teams competing!

🏐 Our first round of Volleyball Skills & Drills has been a huge success!

Over the past few weeks, our 5th–8th graders have spent Monday through Friday working alongside their teammates and coaches to prepare for the upcoming season. Each grade level had a full week dedicated to developing skills, building confidence, and growing together as a team.

We're excited to kick off Round 2 and continue the progress!

We look forward to seeing everyone back in the gym for another great week of learning, competing, and having fun!

Emplify Health will be offering 2 nights for sports physicals again this year, as has been offered in the past few years. This is a great opportunity for area families to schedule their kids' sports physicals after hours and have multiple kids seen at a time in an efficient manner. The dates offered this year will be:
- Monday, June 15th in the Family Medicine Residency Clinic in La Crosse, 5:00-8:00 PM
- Thursday, July 23rd in the Sports Medicine Clinic in Onalaska, 5:00-8:00 PM

Sports physicals must be scheduled ahead of time and walk-in appointments are not offered. There is a $30 out-of-pocket pay option for families without insurance coverage.

One of our goals this summer is to provide opportunities for our Sparta youth volleyball players to develop their skills and grow their love for the game. These free Volleyball Skills & Drills sessions will focus on fundamental techniques and skill development, with coaches leading athletes through a variety of drills and activities designed to build confidence and improve overall play.

Sessions will be held at Meadowview Middle School in the small gym from 10:15–11:45 AM. Because we have only one court available, participation will be limited to 20 athletes per session. When registering, please indicate which session you plan to attend, and note that each session is designated for specific grade levels. This will be the grade you are going into for the upcoming school year!

Athletes should come dressed in their volleyball gear and bring a water bottle. We look forward to helping our athletes learn, improve, and have fun this summer!
