Tonight was a special night for Dover Baseball.

We crowned champions in our Rookie, Minors, and Majors divisions, and we celebrated our 12-year-olds as they wrapped up their Cal Ripken careers.

What stood out most wasn’t who won or lost—it was the incredible atmosphere throughout the park. Families filled the stands, players packed the fences, and the baseball community came together to celebrate a season’s worth of memories. After their own championship game, many Minors players wandered over to Keays Field, while much of the Majors division came out to cheer on their friends in the final game of the night.

If we had to describe the energy in one word, it would be: electric.

We’ll be sharing recaps of all the exciting games in the coming days, but for now, we’ll leave you with a view of beautiful Keays Field on a night that perfectly captured what Dover Baseball is all about.

As the recreational season comes to a close for more than half of our league, we’re grateful for every player, coach, volunteer, and family who made this season so memorable.

While tonight is a big night for Dover Baseball, we recognize that some things are bigger than our little community.

This evening, we ask our players, families, coaches, and supporters to keep Xavier Taylor and his family in their thoughts and prayers.

Like so many across the country, we have been following Xavier's story and are reminded that baseball is more than a game. It is a community that extends far beyond the fences of our own fields.

Tonight, as we celebrate our players and our league, we also stand with the Taylor family and the entire baseball community in support of Xavier. Please leave a bat out in support of Xavier and his family.
