A national, inclusive, and fun five week youth running program led by dedicated local Coordinators, where all kids celebrate their success and develop an active healthy lifestyle. Mission:
Established in 2009, the Healthy Kids Running Series was created by Jeff Long, Founder and President of Pattison Sports Group, to provide kids with a positive, educational, and fun experience in the world of running. To combat the increasing rates of child obesity in America, Jeff designed a running program that would motivate kids to be healthy and active and provide a fun environment to improve their self-esteem. Details:
The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five week running program for kids from Pre-K to 8th grade. Each Race Series takes place once a week and offers running events such as the 50 yard dash, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run. Kids will compete each week of the Series for a chance to earn points, and at the end of the Series the top boy and girl with the most points in their respective age division will receive a trophy. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are since all participants will receive a medal and gift bag for their achievements!

Sunday 11/1 is our last race of the season and it’s Invite Your Teacher Day! Don’t forget to give your invitation to your teacher to watch you run and receive your medal🏅

Another beautiful race day! Thank you to everyone for coming out today! I loved seeing the cool costumes and kudos to all the kids who ran in those costumes!!🦸 You guys rocked it!🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻🏃🏾‍♂️

A big thank you to the extra supportive parents💙💚 It means so much to the kids when you cheer for them and tell them how well they did! I loved seeing the positivity at the finish line!🤗

Don’t forget to wear your costumes to our HKRS races tomorrow! Just make sure you can still run in them, and no masks please!

Thanks for showing your support for those with breast cancer at our Wear Pink Day today! You guys rocked it!

Our runners did an amazing job and our parents and friends cheered their hearts out 🩷 Thanks again to our awesome HKRS families for another great race day!

Race Day Tip⬇️

‼️Please make sure your child’s bib is connected properly to their shirt - No safety pins on the bottom tear-off portion‼️

This will really help us in the finish chute, especially with the younger kids. Safety pins on the bottom will hold up our line and kids will likely move out of place, which in turn messes up our finishing order ☹️
