🥎 THAT’S A WRAP ON SUMMER 2026! 🥎
And just like that, our inaugural Elite9 Upstate 14U summer season is officially in the books! 💙🩶🤍
This summer was about taking a chance, accepting a challenge, and growing together.
We made the decision to move up to 14U earlier than originally planned, putting these girls on the field against older, bigger, and more experienced competition. We knew there would be challenges, but we also knew that challenging ourselves was the best way to grow.
As a team, we identified a few important areas that we wanted to focus on this summer.
Hitting for average is important, but it doesn’t always tell the full story.
We wanted to become one of the most aggressive teams on the field — and that starts with getting on base, putting the softball in play, and making the defense work.
*We wanted to create pressure.
*We wanted to be aggressive on the bases.
*We wanted to make the other team uncomfortable.
Most importantly, we wanted our girls to understand that success isn’t always measured by the scoreboard or a batting average. Sometimes it’s a quality at-bat, working a count, putting a ball in play, taking the extra base, making the routine play, or simply refusing to give in.
There were wins. There were losses. There were lessons. And there was a lot of growth.
A special shoutout to all of our Elite9 families who spent countless weekends at the fields, traveled, cheered, encouraged, and supported these athletes every step of the way. This team wouldn’t be what it is without you. 💙
Now we take a little time to reset, recharge, and get ready for what’s next.
Congrats to those who hit goals they set to start the season.
Summer may be over, but the work doesn’t stop.
