Dear Heritage Lakes Residents & Associate Members…
Help Us Keep Our Pool Clean, Safe, and Enjoyable for Everyone

As summer gets underway and more families begin enjoying our community pool, we'd like to remind everyone that the pool belongs to all of us. It is one of the most valued amenities, and keeping it clean, safe, and welcoming requires cooperation from every resident, associate member and guest who uses it.

Recently, our pool maintenance company, Clarity, has brought several concerns to the Board's attention—not once, but twice within the last week. They have reported finding trash left around the pool deck, toys and personal belongings abandoned after use, restrooms left untidy, and pool umbrellas left open after residents leave.

Clarity does an excellent job maintaining our facility, and they are asking for our community's help in doing our part to keep the pool area clean and orderly.

While any one of these issues may seem minor, together they create unnecessary work, additional expense, and a less enjoyable experience for everyone who visits the pool.

We ask that every resident treat the pool as if it were their own backyard pool:
• Pick up and properly dispose of all trash before leaving.
• Take all toys, towels, clothing, and personal belongings home with you.
• Leave the restrooms clean and in good condition for the next person.
• Fold down and secure umbrellas when you are finished using them to help prevent wind damage.
• Encourage your family members and guests to do the same.

The pool area is a shared community and associate member asset, not someone else's responsibility. Every piece of trash left behind, every item abandoned, and every preventable maintenance issue ultimately costs the Association money. If these problems continue, we may be forced to increase cleaning and maintenance services, resulting in additional expenses that are borne by all who enjoy the pool through increased HOA dues and associate membership dues.

Simply put, every dollar spent cleaning up preventable messes is a dollar that cannot be spent improving our community.

We know that the overwhelming majority of Heritage Lakes residents and associate members take pride in our neighborhood and appreciate the efforts of those who help maintain our amenities. We are asking everyone to work together and show respect for a facility that belongs to all of us.

Keep OUR pool clean. Pick up after yourself. Take your belongings home. Leave the area better than you found it.

If everyone does their part, we can continue to enjoy a clean, attractive, and welcoming pool all season long without unnecessary costs or restrictions.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep Heritage Lakes a community we can all be proud of.

OOPS.... There's Been an "Accident"

Unfortunately, some "material" ended up in the pool this morning that caused the closure of the pool. Clarity Pool folks are dealing with the issue and have informed us that the pool will remain closed until 3pm this afternoon.

WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS!
Heritage Lakes annual Independence Day Celebration is the biggest community event of the year and your board works hard to try and make each year's event better than the last. We can always use volunteers to help put the event on but to really make it a success, we need your donations.

Every little bit helps as we anticipate the cost of fireworks to increase this year. Click the link below to join those that have already donated.

Our fundraising goal is $6,000..... with a major donation coming from a corporate sponsor, we're currently tracking $4,250 as of May 16th. With a little help from our community members, we should reach our goal!

BEAUTIFICATION OUTSIDE OF HERITAGE LAKES
As many of you might know, Brian Barron does a ton of things, quietly without asking for recognition. One of those things is organizing a crew of volunteers that go out on HWY 14 and pickup all the litter on a two mile stretch that borders our community.

This week those volunteers included Rick and Janet Parkinson, Sara Hamby and Larry Felton joining Brian in keeping things looking good. We appreciate you all more than you know!
