Not the ending anyone in Cougar Nation wanted, but what a season it was.

Today our journey came to an end in the WVSSAC Class AAAA State Semifinals against George Washington after an incredible run to the final four. Reaching the state tournament and competing on one of the biggest stages in West Virginia baseball is something these players, coaches, and families should be proud of.

To our seniors — thank you for the leadership, dedication, and memories you’ve given this program. To our players — thank you for representing Jefferson with class, heart, and determination every time you stepped on the field.

This season brought championships, milestones, history, and countless memories that will last a lifetime. While the final result wasn’t what we hoped for, nothing can take away what this team accomplished together.

Thank you to our coaches, families, boosters, and Cougar fans who traveled, cheered, and supported us every step of the way.

Hold your heads high, Cougars. The season may be over, but the tradition continues.

Our Cougars are back this evening as they take on George Washington in the WVSSAC State Tournament for AAAA semifinal action!

Join one of our littlest Cougar fans and help cheer on the last EPAC team still standing in the state tournament! Let’s show the entire state what EPAC baseball is all about.

🏆 1,500 Career Wins! 🏆

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone as Coach Lowery earned his 1,500th career victory!

What an amazing accomplishment and a true testament to the dedication, leadership, passion, and commitment he has poured into the game and the countless athletes he has coached throughout his career.

We are beyond thankful to have the opportunity to be part of this journey and couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this moment with him. The wins tell one story, but the impact he has made on generations of players, families, and communities tells an even greater one.

The Cougars came to Huntington with one goal in mind: Chasing 13. Today was another step toward that goal.

With a dominant 7-1 victory over our county rivals, Jefferson improves to 29-7 and advances to the state semifinals.

A special congratulations goes to Coach John Lowery, who earned his 1,500th career victory on the biggest stage in West Virginia high school baseball. What an incredible milestone for a coach who has built the most legendary program in the state.

They say tradition never graduates, and Cougar Baseball proved it again today.

Now it’s time to turn the page.
