What does it feel like to dive in Belize with YSS Dive? 🌊🤿

It feels like waking up on a luxury liveaboard, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, diving into healthy marine life with amazing dive buddies, and ending each day with heart warming sunsets.

Unlimited visibility, delicious food, unforgettable underwater encounters, and that feeling of being exactly where you’re supposed to be. 💙

And perhaps the best part? There are still so many more adventures to come. ✨

From accidentally crashing the Carnival festivities in San Pedro 🎭🇧🇿 to boarding the Aggressor liveaboard and heading straight into Caribbean dive mode 🤿🌴🌊

Our first dives are officially underway, and we couldn’t be happier to be in these warm Belizean waters right now. Crystal-clear blue, incredible marine life, and that feeling that the real adventure has only just begun…

Last week, we had the absolute honor of teaching Advanced and a few other continuing education classes, and honestly, the YSS dive team may be having way too much fun with these students. 😂🤿

Watching them go from “Wait…I can do this?” to confidently putting those new skills into practice has been the best part. Every dive, every new challenge, and every “aha!” moment is another step toward becoming stronger, more capable divers.

They’re earning certifications, building confidence, and making us ridiculously proud in the process.

At this rate, we may have created a monster… a very well-trained, properly certified, slightly dive-obsessed monster.

Keep learning. Keep diving. Keep having fun!

Who needs dinner and a movie when you can just throw on some scuba gear and discover a whole new world together?

This summer, Alex brought his special person along to try scuba diving for the first time, and honestly, we love this kind of date idea! ❤️

There’s something pretty special about couples taking on a new challenge together: figuring things out, communicating underwater (which is basically an extreme version of “Are you okay?” 😅), encouraging each other, and occasionally wondering, “Whose idea was this again?”

Trying something new as a couple isn’t always about being good at it. Sometimes it’s about laughing through the awkward moments, helping each other along, and discovering that you can learn, explore, and grow together.

And if you can successfully communicate at 30 feet underwater… dinner plans should be a piece of cake. 😉🌊

Here’s to more adventures, more firsts, and more couples brave enough to say, “Let’s try it!” together. 💙

Two New Certified OW & Drysuit Divers!

Big congratulations to Nick and Tracy, our newest Open Water & YSS Dive Drysuit certified divers with Barry and Trevor as a DM.

With water temps sitting at a chilly 51°F, they put their skills to the test and met the standard. These dives were the perfect opportunity to work on good drysuit buoyancy and trim, especially with the seafloor absolutely covered in prawns!

When you’re surrounded by that many prawns, the goal is simple: stay calm, stay balanced, and don’t disperse the entire population with your fins! 😄

They did a fantastic job, and we’re looking forward to getting many more dives in with Nick and Tracy.

Last week we went to visit the Scuba Man!

Remember when we discovered him at the back end of July? Well, we’re happy to report that he’s still hanging around, continuing to surprise divers and give instructors a good chuckle! 🤭

He’s even starting to grow a little marine life on him now, so he’s getting more personality by the day. 😜 At this rate, he’s going to need a name and possibly his own dive certification!

We also got to check out some squid eggs that had been laid on the swim-through. 🦑 Apparently, they really love that particular point… turns out Scuba Man isn’t the only one getting all the attention down there!
