Wednesday, July 29, 2026, is a big day for SILO.
We shipped our very first online order on September 9, 2024. Since then, for the last 668 days, we've personally written every note, packed and shipped every single order from our basement. The only exception was when we were traveling and family or friends stepped in to help.
As we've grown, so has the workload. What started as packing a few orders a week has become 2–3 hours every day, on top of a full-time job. Then there are container days; 8 to 16 hours unloading inventory into the driveway and carrying every box down to the basement by hand.
It's been exhausting... but it's also been a reminder that people believe in what we're building.
Our next container, arriving the first week of August, is twice the size of our last one, and we've reached the point where we need help if we're going to keep growing.
Starting tomorrow, we're partnering with a fulfillment center just 8 miles from SILO HQ. They'll help us deliver faster shipping, more consistent service, and give us the time to focus on what matters most: designing better products and helping more runners and athletes stay organized for training, travel, and race day.
Tomorrow morning we'll pack our final order from the basement.
