Every year, on Oct 15th at 7pm, I light a candle for each baby that is on my heart on Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

This year I lit a candle for Ever and Emerson (my babies), for Lane, For baby A, For Baby J, and For (another) Baby J, who’s family I had the privilege of walking along side with this year as he was born sleeping. There hasn’t been a day go by since that I havent thought of that boy or his parents and sibling, so it only seemed fitting.

I’ve wanted to make this post for weeks but didn’t really know how to go about it, so be kind.

This economy has been hard on most of us. I completely understand that.

I don’t ever want your ability to pay for a birth doula, postpartum doula, or childbirth classes to stop you from having them. I’ve always offered bartering and payment plans, but I think some people forget these are options.

As a busy mom of 6, 4 of who are still at home, I’m always looking for a good bartering opportunity. We live on a small farm and with that comes a whole lot of chores.

Currently I’m looking for farm help such as limb removal, fence building, and some welding projects. Also open to social media, website help, and photography. Know a good plumber, electrician, or craftsman? I could probably work with that too.

I’m very open about price transparency and my backup policy, just message me to ask.

Today was a day for childbirth education! So thankful I get to use the knowledge and skills I’ve gained after so many years in birthwork to help families get ready to greet their newest members.

2026 started with big goals and a bingo board, today I marked off a square and started the process of marking off another one.

So excited to serve in a new capacity!

16 years of birthwork, dug out, printed, gone through, labeled and photographed.

Tonight, after a very long day in my role as family educator, I came home and put in a few more hours working on a special project for work, and then… I turned in the last of my assignments to finally re-certify as a doula.

A lot went in to that and I’m glad this part is over.

Let me do hip squeezes and teach classes, don’t make me do paperwork and do taxes, I’m not cut out for it, lol.
