Can I just be real for a second?…

Being a small business is NOT for the weak… neither is doing any sort of construction project (especially commercial).. like, we’re going to write a book to help guide other people like us on how to survive it… because if you didn’t have connections, or money, or thick skin, you would have a hard time surviving. Take it from us 😣

“This is the first time I’ve seen this happen in my whole career..”

“This kind of thing has never happened before..”

“The delivery truck broke down 3 hours away, we’ll have to delay another day.”

“Your material didn’t get delivered because it was never made.”

“Not every area we sell product to is held to the building standards, so we typically don’t need to worry about it.”

Trying to build the most amazing golf training facility in this city and all we continue to do is hit road block after road block… and the one thing that keeps us going is how close we are to the finish line and how bad ass and SUCCESSFUL we know this facility is going to be.

Day 148. And for the first time, it’s starting to look a whole lot like what we’ve pictured from the very beginning.

Nearly 150 days of construction. Countless decisions, unexpected challenges, long days, and plenty of moments that tested the vision and the people behind it.

Building something from the ground up has a way of reminding you that the idea is the easy part. Bringing it to life is where the real work happens.

But then moments like this happen.

The turf is in. The bays are coming together. And a space that has existed in our minds for so long is finally becoming something tangible.

We know what we want this place to be. We know what we want people to feel when they walk through the doors. And with every new milestone, we’re getting closer to bringing that experience to life.

Still plenty to do. Still more to come.

But this one feels different.

Elite Golf Performance is starting to look like the place we’ve always envisioned. And we can’t wait for you to experience it.

Busy weekend at EGP getting ready for an even busier week ahead ⛳️🏌️

One thing we know for certain is that without our friends and family stepping in to assist with painting and getting things prepped for tomorrow, it wouldn’t be possible to make it to the next step and stay on track. We have the most supportive inner circle ❤️

Even with the continued bumps In the road we encounter, we manage to keep pushing through 👏🏻 one day at a time.

People ask us all the time what makes us different because - let’s be honest - we’re not the first golf training facility to pop up in the city. But we’re not intimidated by that… because we have what all of these places don’t…

So the truth behind designing your own space from scratch as a business owner is that sometimes you have to go back to the drawing board - more times than once…

The other truth? We had plans for a 2,000 square foot putting green downstairs flowing into our bays… but life had other plans. We were going to be forced to compromise on some space within the putting green and that just wasn’t sitting well with us… so when life gave us lemons, we decided to make an even better putting green - or two 😉

In small business, there isn’t a manual to follow or a plan neatly wrapped up in a bow and handed over to you. You are quite literally forging the way as hit potholes and forks in the road… making some bad decisions but also making some really great ones. It’s not flawless and beautiful the entire time, it’s hard, it’s ugly and it’s also the most rewarding thing you’ll ever do.
