⚾🥎 Opening Day is going to be a BIG DAY at SAAA!

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, Coweta County will officially unveil the expansion at LeRoy H. Johnson Park, and we want our SAAA families to SHOW UP and help us celebrate!

We’ll kick off the morning with an Opening Day Parade featuring our players and teams, followed by the official Ribbon Cutting and First Pitch Ceremony at 9AM.

We’re also planning plenty of fun around the park with a Kid Zone, food trucks, vendors and more!

Teams — get creative and make a team banner for your players to carry during the parade. We want to fill the field with SAAA players and make this a memorable morning for our kids and our community.

SAAA Families: Be sure to check your email for additional details about Opening Day. More information will also be shared as we get closer to the event.

Fall Evaluation Reminder

Fall evaluations are scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, at Leroy Johnson Park in Senoia.

Please review your player’s division time and field location on the posted schedule.

Players should arrive 30–45 minutes early for their scheduled evaluation time. Check-in will take place at the concession stand, where players will receive their evaluation number. After check-in, players should have time to warm up before their group begins.

Players should wear comfortable baseball or softball attire and bring the equipment they would normally use for practice or a game, including:

Glove
Bat, if they have one
Helmet, if they have one
Cleats or athletic shoes
Water bottle

During evaluations, players will go through a few basic drills so coaches can evaluate age-appropriate skills such as throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, and other baseball or softball fundamentals.

A few additional reminders:

4U does not have evaluations.

Players who have been frozen to a team are not permitted to participate in evaluations.

Players unable to attend evaluations will still be placed on a team through a randomized draft process, but attendance is encouraged.

Teams will be released no later than Sunday evening.

Coaches should begin reaching out to families Sunday evening.

Evaluations help us create balanced teams and prepare for a successful fall season. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work through this process.

Our players need your help.

SAAA is currently looking for volunteer coaches in our 4U and 10U baseball divisions for the Fall 2026 season.

You don't need years of coaching experience to make a difference. Some of our best coaches started simply because they wanted to help. We'll provide support, resources, and experienced volunteers to help you throughout the season.

As a coach, you'll have the opportunity to:
• Mentor young athletes
• Build confidence and sportsmanship
• Create a fun, positive experience for your team
• Pick your team's name and help design your team's jerseys and hats

Our goal is simple: give every child who registered the opportunity to play baseball this fall.

Registration ends tonight, and there are still spots available in some divisions. Be sure to lock in your player’s spot before they are gone.

If a division shows a waitlist, please still sign up. If we get enough interest in a division, we may be able to create more teams.

📣 Fall Registration & Evaluation Update

Fall registration is scheduled to close at the end of the day on AUGUST 1st. If you have not registered yet, please be sure to lock in your spot before registration closes.

If your division has a waitlist, please still sign up. Waitlist numbers help us determine whether there is enough interest to potentially create additional teams.

Evaluations will be held on SATURDAY, AUGUST 8th. Please review the updated evaluation schedule in the graphic, as some times have changed from previous communication.

A few important reminders:

• 4U does not have evaluations
