We just want to take a moment to thank all of our sponsors and people that support this team. Without the help and support from each and everyone of you- we wouldn’t get to do what we love. We also want to apologize for the lack of race result updates as things have not gone as planned so far this year and we have not been overly excited about our finishes. So, we just wanted to take a minute to update everyone on our last few races. Over the last 4 races, we broke a driveshaft on the second lap of the first one. Next race we did not qualify well, so we rolled off 10th but drove our way to 5th for a top 5 finish. The following race we qualified 4th, one of our best qualifying efforts. So we rolled off outside second row. Driver was cautious on initial start and lost a position. Lacking experience in the front of the pack, Matt got impatient and tried to press the issue and spun out on a very slick track. This was a humbling learning experience on patience but Matt stuck with it and went to the back of an 18 car field and drove back to 8th within 3 laps only to cut down a LR, ending our night. The next race we ran was during the Schaeffer’s summer nationals. We missed on everything this week, car was way too loose and Matt had no feel for the track. We qualified 12th but due to some miscommunication and schedule changes due to incoming rain we missed the feature and loaded up to try again the following week. That brings us to this past weekend. The track was super slick again which seems to be good for us. We qualified 6th but were only .01 off the fast time. So the top 6 cars were very close. We went in with the mindset of PATIENCE above all else. This worked well as we hung in there with the leaders and by mid race we had worked our way into the top 4. We took a restart with around 7 to go and made our way to 3rd. Battled the 007 hard for a few laps, Matt was stuck on the bottom as the 007 ran middle. He hung in there nicely until some contact with the 007 in the LR resulted in a flat tire, yet again ending our good run in disappointment. Though we don’t have the finishes we would like, we have shown great improvement as of late with several qualifying efforts near the front, and have proven we have the speed to run with the leaders. We couldn’t be more excited headed into this weekend as we will be speedway! One stroke of luck and that podium will be OURS. Again, thank you for our sponsors, support, and all the people behind the scenes helping make this happen. Stick with us because our time is CLOSE 🏆
