The 2026 trail trimming season is upon us. Beginning this weekend and continuing for the next several weeks, volunteers will be trimming back overgrowth on all the singletrack trails in the park.

During this time, you may see vehicles on the multi-use trail and/or you will hear the sound of power equipment running. Please use caution when approaching, as our volunteers may not hear you.

We are always looking for more volunteers. If you are interested in joining us, please send us a message, and we can tell you how to get involved.

Another litter pickup is in the books. Many thanks to this year’s volunteers: Marybeth Lambert, Shannon Ashby, Cameron Hill, and Dennis Achgill. We collected about 6 bags of litter combined along 650S and 544E. Mostly, it was empty alcohol containers, but we did find one tire…

Prairie Creek Reservoir Park, we collected and disposed of our trash bags, but could you possibly pick up the tire? It's located along a stretch of guardrail on 650S. Thank you.

Our trail crew volunteers were hard at work this weekend! A dozen or more blown down trees have been cleared from the trails. The trails are now Good To Go!

The Muncie area recorded an 86 mph wind gust Friday afternoon. A partial survey found a few downed trees. A full survey will not happen until Saturday. Trail user are encouraged to use extreme caution. Be aware of the potential of more downed trees possibly hung up in standing trees (widow makers). Additional time will be needed to fully clear the storm damage.

Spring like weather means spring like trail conditions. The single track will be closed for the foreseeable future. The gravel multi-use is available.
