During exercises like RDLs + squats, your pelvic floor responds to the demands of the lift, alongside your core and breath.
You’re thinking about your hinge, hamstrings, and growing your glutes, but have you checked in with your pelvic floor? 👀 🍑
What I DON’T mean is squeezing as hard as you can through each rep…..
For a moderate load DL, try this:
🤍 Inhale as you hinge, allowing your ribs to expand without deliberately pushing down.
🤍 Exhale as you stand, keeping the effort controlled.
🤍 Reset between reps instead of staying clenched through the entire set.
This is one breathing strategy to explore — not a rule for every lifter, for every load.
And pay attention to how you FEEL:
- Are you leaking?
- Do you feel PF heaviness, bulging, or pain — before, during, or after your workouts?
Those are reasons to adjust the weights, range, or reps, and get individualized guidance — not push harder or add more kegels.
You can build strong glutes while paying attention to your pelvic floor. That’s part of how we train inside Whole Body Healthy. 🤍
Save this for a little reminder on your next glute day.
