Registration opens Tuesday, September 1st!

Members of the Scranton Half Marathon recently gathered with representatives from Scranton's Little Leagues and Tripp Park Little League Softball for an official check presentation.

A total of $35,882 was distributed among the seven organizations, with each league receiving $5,126. An additional $35,882 from race proceeds was deposited into the Scranton Half Marathon Foundation, which provides grants to nonprofit organizations throughout Lackawanna County.

The Scranton Half Marathon is presented by our friends at Geisinger. Without their support along with yours, this great effort wouldn't be possible.

Congratulations to all our runners and walkers that completed the 13th edition of the Scranton Half Marathon presented by Geisinger! We are so proud of each and every one of you for completing those 13.1 miles through the streets of Scranton. We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, the new course, and the camaraderie and community support that just seems to keep growing year after year.

With a new Scranton Half course comes a new start line! Runners and walkers will now start in front of Scranton High School on Mike Munchak Way. Georgina made sure to sprinkle some good vibes on the start line for you 😎

p.s. A new start line means the H.S. parking lot will fill up fast. Get there early! More parking information to come! 🚗

Want to take on a 5K instead of (or along with) the 13.1? Our annual 5K is back on Saturday, April 11th - now in honor of Jim Moran, an integral member of the NEPA running community. From managing countless races to organizing volunteers for the Marathon, along with helping with our own race, our running community would not be the same without all that he's done.

This year's race is also sponsored by Bender Private Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors.
