After a great summer on the courts, 518 Social Tennis is excited to announce the return of Red Ball Tennis and Tennis 101 for Adults this fall!

🔴 Red Ball Tennis is perfect for adults who are brand new to the game and want a fun, easy and social introduction to tennis.

🎾 Tennis 101 helps beginner players continue developing their groundstrokes, serves, volleys, rallying and confidence on the court.

Whether you joined us this summer or missed your chance the first time around, we’d love to see you on the courts this fall!

📅 Fall sessions begin in September
📍 Central Park Tennis Courts, Schenectady

One make-up day will be scheduled at the end of the sessions for weather-related cancellations. Due to unpredictable fall weather, additional make-up classes cannot be guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued.

A great first step for 518 Social Tennis!

We welcomed our first participants to Red Ball Tennis at the newly renovated Central Park Tennis Courts, and it was a fun evening of learning, laughter and getting comfortable on the court.

With a small group, everyone had plenty of opportunities to hit balls, ask questions and build confidence in a relaxed, welcoming environment. It’s exactly what 518 Social Tennis is all about—creating a fun and supportive place for adults to learn the game, stay active and connect with others.

Red Ball Tennis begins next week at the newly renovated Central Park Tennis Courts in Schenectady as part of our new 518 Social Tennis program.

Never picked up a racquet? No problem! Red Ball Tennis is designed for beginners and uses larger, slower-moving balls that make learning the game fun, easy and social.

Serving up something special in Schenectady! ✂️🎾 On Monday, we joined the City of Schenectady, N.Y. and 15-LOVE to officially cut the ribbon on the beautiful new courts at Central Park.

Thanks to a combined $3.5M investment ($500K from the USTA, $500K from USTA Eastern and $2.5M from the City of Schenectady), we completely reconstructed 17 courts and added an additional court. The result? 18 state-of-the-art, post-tension concrete hard courts built to last and ready for action.

We are so excited to see the community enjoy these beautiful courts and we can't wait to host Sectionals here this summer!

Today we celebrated the ribbon cutting of the newly renovated tennis courts at Central Park. These beautiful new courts will soon be home to 518 Social Tennis, our new adult tennis program in partnership with USTA Eastern.
