Now that we've settled back into normal life, we wanted to come and congratulate our show team on an amazing weekend at North East Ranch Horse Association Spring Fling! There were some bobbles, some big accomplishments and some things that we' have to work on before the next show, but all in all everyone learned and grew and we're so proud of everyone!
Smokin Sophisticatt and Karlene Bushey had some amazing runs! Karl really came out swinging this weekend and even added some money to his LTE!
Sanjo Hickory Chic and Shawn Bushey had a great ranch cutting run and are bringing home lots of notes to work on before the next show!
Emma Finch and First Time Smokin had a fabulous weekend topping the list and winning champion in Youth Versatility, Novice Youth Versatility, Novice Youth High Point Cattle AND a buckle in the Novice Youth Ranch Boxing! Pretty good for only 2 months together, can't wait to see what this team does in July!
Laura Mickan and her husband Joe McCue both won their first buckles! Laura in the Novice Am Ranch Roping and Joe in the All Age Ranch Roping! Lenas Nu Zephroys and Spuds (Mista Potata Head) really took to a whole new atmosphere and held their own in all their classes!
Kathleen Froome Howe and her new mare Cash N Pink Chex, did a lot of confidence building and working on becoming a team and we're so proud of how they both navigated the weekend.
Courtney Bruso and Maui That's Who had some good rides, and Courtney has already made a list of things for the two of them to work at between now and the next show! So proud of her for taking the initiative to better her and her horse!
Erika L Powers and WH A Certain Invite killed their showmanship coming in 2nd, and held their own in their other classes. A few things to work on before July, but Erika is a hard worker and has already gotten straight to work! Can't wait to see this team in July!
Chelsea Marie and Who Whiz Que held their own and had respectable placings in the Novice Amateur classes!
Smart Sportolena got stolen from his IEA horse life to come play ranch horse for Annie Baldwin and Linda Slezak while their personal horses were home. It was a big learning curve figuring out a new horse on the fly and at a show, but both did awesome!
The Finest Class got out of her Pleasurey comfort zone and was piloted by her owner Aneisha Liska to top the WT Showmanship chart and then also tried her hand at some riding classes with Alyssa Burns with respectable placings!
All in all a wonderful weekend, with great people! Can't wait to see all the improvements in July and add a couple more horses and riders!
