My Thought For Today is 1 Peter 5:6-7 NLT.”So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
To humble yourself before God is to give all of your fears, worries and concerns to him. Believing that he is wise and powerful enough to address your concerns in his way and timing. Peter is saying “stop carrying your problems alone because you have a God that cares about you”. Then you can rest in the promise that in the right time God will lift you up in honor.

My Thought For Today is Proverbs 21:1 NKJV. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes.”
There are going to be times in your life when people in certain positions of authority appear to have you at their mercy and their intentions towards you may not be good. You can find comfort in the fact that God is able to influence the heart of that individual.
The next time you find yourself in this position-instead of striving with that individual take the matter to God. You can pray “ Lord, you have access to the heart and mind of every person. If their decision concerns me, guide their thoughts, motives and desires according to your purpose.
The emphasis is not on trying to manipulate people but to trust God to work through circumstances and people that you cannot control.

My Thought For Today is that Habits are the pathway to your identity. What you practice everyday eventually provides the proof of what you will identify as. Example: if you work out everyday you will begin to identify as an athlete. Take note of your habits!

“My Thought for Today is Psalm 103:2 NASB.”Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;”
We can learn a great spiritual lesson here. David is speaking to his inner being, emotions, will and desires. In a time of trouble he is choosing to bless the Lord for who he is and who he’s been to David in the past. Instead of focusing on his problems he’s made a conscious effort to focus on the faithfulness of God and the many blessings he’s bestowed upon him.
Your feelings don’t always lead you to gratitude, sometimes you have to speak to your own soul.
‭Gratitude is discipline.
