Our team started out in 2007 at Prior Lake High School located in Savage, Minnesota; this year we mark our 5th year anniversary as a FRC FIRST team. One motto we always keep in mind is “to have more fun than any other team,” but fun won’t

always mean easy and technology won’t always mean high-tech. We utilize our available resources, replacing factory designed parts with learning opportunities, machine-made with trial and error, and elaborate laboratories with informal inspiration. Here in KING TeC we work to utilize multiple forms of technology which aids us to expand our products beyond acknowledged limits and to truly recognize the real world application potential FIRST provides us. Mission Statement:
KING TeC’s Mission is to be actively involved in communicating the message and values of the FIRST organization. FIRST, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, inspires young people to be Science and Technology leaders and provides the opportunity to compete in a hands on technology driven learning experience. KING TeC reaches out to our local community, state, country, and the world, to involve young minds in scientific innovation in a graciously professional and competitive environment.

WE’RE HEADED TO WORLDS!

After winning the Northern Lights Regional earlier this season, KING TeC has qualified for the FIRST Championship in Houston, Texas

This opportunity means our students will compete on a global stage with top teams from around the world, representing our team and community. We’re incredibly proud and excited for what’s ahead.

We’re currently raising funds to help cover competition and trip costs so our students can attend. Any support or even just sharing this post makes a difference!

Week 5 Build Update!
2/9–2/14
This week the team focused heavily on manufacturing, and beginning subsystem assembly as we push closer to Week 0. Some CAD subsystems were finalized allowing for manufacturing to take over while electrical begins their CAD and planning. We also continued to powder coat parts as they get manufactured and before they are assembled. Programming continued work across all subsystems, as well as work on autonomous routines. Off the robot, we finalized scouting outlines and made strong progress on Impact and business. #2169

Week 4 Post Kickoff Update!
2/2–2/7
Strong progress across the team this week as CAD continued on all subsystems, with work on the climber, intake, shooter, and indexer, bringing the designing closer to finalization. Mechanical picked up with drivetrain reassembly, and continued part fabrication, while control systems wired the drivetrain. Programming made solid gains as they started on multiple subsystems and autonomous routines. The team also finalized the robot name Sir Tristan, locked in the drive team, and continued work on scouting, Impact, Woodie Flowers, as well business outreach.

Week 3 Post Kickoff update!
1/26-1/31
Big progress across the team this week! Prototype work continued on the intake and climber, bringing both closer to final designs. CAD advanced across all subsystems, with major progress on the climber and shooter turret, including early testing.
Drive team tryouts wrapped up, swerve programming officially began, and our Community Engagement team started work on our Impact speech and essay.
