Spring fishing is here! Snow pack is lean this year 72% of normal right now. The best floating and fishing is now until the water runs out. We suggest getting out sooner than later.

Alright alright… let’s clear the air. Lots of talk about my last post. Yes Drift does want your business. However, out of respect for our guests and our fishery we will not be posting fish pictures or giving away information about what we are doing exactly, or when the fishing is on fire. As I believe it devalues the service we offer and takes away from our guests experience. Sorry lookie Lou but we value solitude!

This fall marks my 20th year guiding the North Platte for fishing. This will also be Drifts 10th year in business. If it’s one thing I have learned in this business is you have to be dynamic. Yes we have been closed since mid July. Well why are you still taking trips if you’re closed? Simple really the demand is way higher than the supply. All my guides are school teachers who are back to work. Which leaves me. Even with the phones shut off I am doing more trips than I can personally accommodate. I wish we could accommodate more people and do more business. However, water and good guides are a precious commodity and I will not short your trip with inexperienced guides and low water to make money. We are taking bookings for next year, the season is June1-July 15. Our bookings are way ahead of schedule. Bookings outside of June early July will be based on conditions and availability and cannot be reserved in advance. Thanks for your patience, understanding and patronage I appreciate it.
