❤️ Volunteer Spotlight: Ling! ❤️

This month, we’re celebrating Ling and all the ways she makes our YMCA community stronger! 🙌

Last year during Campaign Month, Ling volunteered her time to help support our fundraising efforts. Thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of our community, we were able to raise over $200,000 to support the Y and the people we serve. 💙

But Ling’s impact doesn’t stop there! She is a familiar and consistent face around the Y, always staying active with her workouts and enjoying our Yoga and Pilates classes. 🧘‍♀️💪

And in this photo, you can see just how proud and happy Ling is to be part of the Y community—especially as she celebrates her son and his team winning the **Travel Basketball League** against other local Y teams! 🏀🏆

Our management team had a great time at the Santa Ynez Tribal Health Fair! We got to meet some amazing people, connect with fellow vendors from across the Valley, and strengthen relationships within our community. 🤝

Sometimes, it’s as simple as asking. 💙

A quick “Can I work in?” can make a big difference.

Our Y staff want to encourage a gym culture where we communicate, share equipment, and make space for one another. Whether you’re in the middle of your workout or taking a rest between sets, there may be an opportunity to let someone else get their set in, too.

It’s a small gesture that helps create a more welcoming and supportive space for everyone working toward their goals.

Let’s keep making room for one another and building a stronger Y community together.💪

🏈 Flag Football Assessments at the Stuart C. Gildred YMCA!

What a FUN day on the field! 🏈🔥 We just hosted our flag football assessments, and the energy, smiles, and excitement were absolutely incredible!

Our future athletes showed off their skills, competed, made new friends, and most importantly—HAD FUN! 🙌

We can’t wait to see these players take the field and continue building confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. 💪🏈

What a season for our Girls & Boys Travel Basketball Teams! 💙 Both teams showed up, battled hard, and finished strong by winning their CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES! 🏆🔥

We couldn’t be more proud of our athletes—not only for what they accomplished on the court, but for the teamwork, dedication, sportsmanship, and heart they showed throughout the season. 👏💪

A HUGE thank you to all of the parents, players, coaches, Y staff, and our fellow branches who supported these teams and helped make this incredible season possible. It truly takes a village! 🙌

Martha led us through a wonderful yoga session, giving our team a chance to relax, recharge, and reconnect. 💚

Our front desk staff works hard every day to make sure you feel welcomed, supported, and taken care of. They truly do their best to care for everyone who walks through our doors—and today, we made sure to take a little time to care for them, too. 🌿
