Our Story
Practicing Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Iaijutsu and Aikido. We are a member dojo of Birankai North America. Dojo-cho Damon Apodaca Sensei trained directly under K. Chiba Sensei for 6 years in San Diego, both during and after he was in the United States Navy. He is a certified Birankai Shidoin. Also teaching at Santa Fe Budokan, is Kristina Varjan, a Birankai Shihan. Having been good friends for many years, Varjan Shihan was invited to teach and train at Santa Fe Budokan when she relocated from her home in Hawaii, and now resides in Santa Fe with her husband Rikko Varjan, also a Birankai Shidoin.
