Hey there. đź‘‹ Summer is starting to wind down, and for a lot of golfers, that means golf season starts slowing down too.
But this is actually one of the best times to work on your game.
Instead of worrying about what you’re going to shoot this weekend, you can step back and ask yourself:
What do I really need to improve to become a better golfer?

➡️ Maybe you’re trying to break 100.

➡️ Maybe you’re trying to turn those 90s into 80s.

➡️ Maybe you want more consistency off the tee, better contact with your irons, a sharper short game, or fewer three-putts.
Whatever your goal is, the offseason gives us time to actually work on it.
I’m opening up a few complimentary 30-minute Zoom Game Plan chats where you and I can talk about your golf game, where you want to go, and what I think you should be working on to get there.
No pressure and no commitment. Just a conversation about your game.
Reply to this message and tell me the #1 thing you’d like to improve.

GOLF SWING ISSUES? I CAN HELP. Get you Complementary 20-min Golf Swing Consultation and we can discuss how to get you back on track.

The key focus from this lesson is getting rid of your low left hook by pairing an open clubface with a more out‑to‑the‑right swing path, while also improving your contact by hitting down into the ball instead of scooping it. I want you thinking more about hitting golf shots than making golf swings, using simple visual and feel cues to build new, reliable patterns.

- At setup, feel the toe of the club more open: heel slightly in front of the toe, using the bottom score line as your reference so the face is not closed. Once you set it, don’t let your right hand creep over into your old “comfort zone.”
- Intentionally swing the club more out to the right of your target line; exaggerate this feel if needed. Use alignment sticks, wood planks, or a spare club on the ground to ensure you’re actually aimed square and then feel the clubhead travel out to the right through impact.
- Accept that some shots may start or stay right for now; that’s fine. Our priority is eliminating the snipey low left hook so you can freely release the club with the face more open and the path more neutral/outward.
- To fix thin shots, train yourself to hit down into the ground: place tees or small debris just in front of the ball and work on striking the ball and then the tees, so the club is moving downward through impact rather than leveling off or rising.
- Before each shot, do one or two practice swings after you’re set up; watch the clubhead and feel the face staying more open and the swing going out to the right. This helps your hands and body find the right motion and gets you out of overthinking the mechanics mid‑swing.
