tomers have a long list of success stories including Olympic medals, offshore and one-design championship titles, and devoted blue water and coastal cruisers. The Ullman Sails group is proudly unique, bringing together individual sail lofts from all over the world that specialize in serving their local markets. With a rich combination of skilled designers and master sailmakers, we work together to ensure every Ullman Sails customer benefits from our international collaboration. Ullman Sails was founded in November 1967 by David Ullman, one of the world’s greatest competitive sailors. Dave was named Rolex Yachtsman of the Year in 1996, was nominated again for 2007, and is a three-time 470 World Champion, the 2007 Melges 24 World Champion, a five-time Lipton Cup Champion (1992-1996), a ten-time Lido 14 National Champion, and a National Champion in the Snipe, Thistle, Sabot and Coronado 15 racing classes. Team Racing Champion, a U.S. Men’s National Champion (Mallory Cup) and a former coach of the U.S. Dave is still an integral part of the Ullman Sails group. Serving as President of Ullman Sails International, he also directs the Ullman design team – a select group of sailors with equally impressive credentials, extensive experience, and sailmaking expertise. And all of them are accessible. Contact a local loft and see for yourself. In addition to a local sales rep, you could also be talking to the current three-time J/24 European Champion; an Olympic silver medalist in the Tornado class in 2004; or a seasoned offshore sailor who has competed in more Sydney to Hobart Races than you can count on two hands. We understand the importance of talking to someone who knows sailmaking. And we make sure we’re available to listen to your goals and answer your questions.

A good breeze has a way of clearing the week's noise.

Here's to a weekend spent somewhere between the horizon and home.

See you out there.

There's no single "best" sail for every sailor.

Someone cruising with family at the weekend needs something very different from a crew racing around the cans every Wednesday night. Add offshore sailing, short-handed sailing or a full race programme and the priorities change again.

Material choice matters. Construction matters. Sail shape matters.

But first, how are you actually going to use it?

That's the conversation worth having with your local Ullman Sails loft before choosing your next sail.

You probably know the feeling.

The breeze seems fine, but the boat just isn't quite settled. You're carrying more helm than usual, heeling harder than expected, or constantly adjusting things trying to find the groove.

Before changing everything, start with the basics.

Look at your sail trim, check your telltales and pay attention to what you're feeling through the helm.

Small adjustments can make a surprisingly big difference.

And if something consistently feels wrong, that's worth a conversation with your local loft.

Some weekends, all you need is a boat, a breeze and nowhere else you need to be.

No schedule. No rush. Just a few good hours on the water.

You can wash the boat.

Pack the sails away.

Drive home.

Go back to work on Monday.

But somewhere in the back of your mind you're already planning the next time you'll get out on the water.

That's the thing about sailing—it never really leaves you.

Where's your next adventure taking you?
