NO DUBS TOMORROW for family event.

Last week we did some cleaning up of several dead trees on Holes 5-7. The nicer the course gets, the less room I have to dump unwanted brush, and the less inclined I am to make a giant hole to bury it. But there are worse problems to have.

Good morning Maine! We’ve got a gorgeous day lined up and we have random dubs tonight at 5:15. $15 all in and the ace pot is $126. All the baskets are in original position with the exception of 7, 14, and 16. 

This photo is off the tee on # 17, what we call “ the Lane.” Probably the hardest, but most satisfying birdie on the course. It sure makes the open downhill approach to 18 welcome sight!

While all of our pads are concrete, 9 are hand mixed/poured and 9 are precast in 2 pieces. While easier, they are prone to settle and becoming uneven. Thanks to our most faithful patron, we leveled 8&9 and fully rebuilt 11 with 3 yards of gravel to raise it up and make the hole more approachable. Thanks Brandon!

This pic is one of my favorite spots on the course. It’s the intersection of 10/11 and 13/14. And yes that tall grass is there for a reason. It marks the collecting ditch and separates 13 and 10/14.

I’ve noticed a new trend to not put your name and number on discs anymore. Oh well. 2 of these are pretty new and the Shryke was right by the basket. Guessing someone approached and just forgot to pick it up after putting. They’ll all be in the milk crate on the picnic table by the parking lot

DUBS 5:15 tonight. $15 all in.

A significant ankle sprain has delayed mowing but I finally got all the lower holes mowed yesterday and I’m hoping to do a few upper ones this afternoon. Doubles is a go for tonight at 5:15 will pull cards and play immediately. I’m out of the game but I’ll be around start and finish.

The mini ex is back and this weekend I’ll be widening and cleaning up around the B pins
