Utah Soccer Federation, in conjunction with Oregon Youth Soccer, is excited to launch the “Leading the Leaders” series, a three-part leadership development series created for Directors of Coaching and Technical Directors.

Led by Damion Dixon, retired U.S. Navy Captain and former Chief of Staff for BYU Athletics, the series features 90-minute interactive leadership webinars focused on strengthening leadership within our soccer community.

Part One: Leading Yourself First The first session kicked off with an important reminder: great leadership starts with reflection.

Take two minutes. Where was I at my best? Where can I improve? What will I do differently tomorrow?

Reflect. Adjust. Lead.

We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation in a few weeks for Part Two.

Registration for Coyote Cup and Presidents Cup open this Sunday, September 6th!! 🦁🐺🏆Registration will be found on our website! More info below!!

Coyote Cup is boys and girls, ages 9U and up! This event will be split between St. George, UT and Mesquite, NV from January 21-23, 2027.

This event is the old Presidents Cup that we have rebranded as Coyote Cup to better align our programming. This event will be open to any U9-U12 team and will have multiple brackets when appropriate. This tournament is great for all skill levels.

Presidents Cup is boys and girls, ages 13U and up! Boys will play in St. George, UT and the girls will play in Mesquite, NV from January 14-18, 2027.

Presidents Cup gives teams a competitive experience and the opportunity to compete at the state, regional, and national levels while building connections and community.

The first in-person session of the Utah Soccer-hosted USSF B License Course is officially in full swing right here in Utah⚽️📚

A huge shoutout to our amazing instructors, Xavi Bravo and Marco DeRuiter, for leading 24 candidates through this important step in their coaching journey!

We have also had the pleasure of hosting U.S. Soccer Technical Lead James Wagenschutz during this course. We’re grateful for the knowledge, experience, and expertise he brought to the candidates!

On August 29th, Utah Soccer Federation joined State Associations across the country in supporting a historic step to make US Youth Soccer (USYS) part of U.S. Soccer.

The goal is to create a stronger, more connected soccer system by bringing more resources and investment to local soccer, strengthening State Associations, and providing greater support to clubs, leagues, coaches, referees, and communities. This will create more opportunities for people to play and stay in the game, make soccer easier for families to navigate, and connect local communities with U.S. Soccer’s national resources, expertise, and opportunities.
