🏁🔥 SATURDAY 8/29/26 RACE RECAP — BACK. TO. BACK. 🔥🏁

THE 7L DID IT AGAIN! 🏆🏆

Saturday night Carter showed up FAST and stayed fast ALL. NIGHT. LONG. 💨

⏱️ QUALIFYING: P1 out of 20
🔥 HEAT 1: Started P4 ➡️ FINISHED P1
🏁 A MAIN: Started P1 ➡️ FINISHED P1
🏆 BACK-TO-BACK SATURDAY NIGHT WINS!

Carter kicked off the night by laying down the FASTEST qualifying lap in a field of 20! With the invert, he rolled off 4th in Heat 1, put his head down, got up on that wheel, and DROVE HIS WAY TO THE WIN! 🔥

That earned him the POLE for the A Main, and when the green dropped, the 7L was GONE! 💨🏁

He took control and never looked back. Even a last-lap mishap couldn’t keep him from getting it done. He held on, crossed that finish line P1, and sent the 7L BACK TO VICTORY LANE FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT SATURDAY! 🏆🔥 Thanks for the heart attack kid!

TWO SATURDAYS. TWO CHECKERED FLAGS. TWO TRIPS TO VICTORY LANE. 🏁🏆🏁🏆

And Saturday night, Carter had an ARMY behind him! The cheering section was LOUD, the support was unreal, and the love shown to this kid made this win hit a little different. ❤️

He learned something pretty important Saturday night too…

He’s got people who stand 10 TOES DOWN behind him. People who will fight WITH him and fight FOR him. 💪🏼

That means more than any trophy ever could. 💙

Every lap is another lesson. Every race is another opportunity to improve. And every week, this kid just keeps getting FASTER, SMARTER, and BETTER. 🔥

From his very first Cadet race in August 2024 to standing in Victory Lane BACK-TO-BACK in August 2026… what a ride it has been.

But we have a feeling the 7L is just getting started. 😏🔥

🥎🏁 TOMORROW OUR TWO WORLDS COLLIDE… AGAIN! 🏁🥎

It’s another divide-and-conquer Saturday for Team Lyon! 😂

🥎 Mom & McKenna are headed to South Carolina for a softball tournament!

🏁 Dad & Carter are headed to Millbridge for RACE DAY!

Thanks to some absolutely wonderful friends on Sissy’s softball team, Mom is going to do everything she can to make the mad dash back in time to cheer Carter on at the track! 🤞🏼🏎️💨

It’ll be a busy day, a lot of miles, probably a little chaos, and a whole lot of cheering! But we wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

Last Saturday, we walked away with TWO WINS… so naturally, we’re hoping lightning strikes twice! 🏆🥎🏆🏁

Here’s to big hits, fast laps, safe racing, and hopefully TWO MORE WINS for the Lyon kiddos! 🙌🏼

🏁 8/25/26 Tuesday Race Recap! 🏁

Man… Carter just can’t seem to catch a break! 😩 But one thing is for sure, this kid does NOT quit.

🔥 Qualified 2nd out of 23
🔥 Started 4th in his heat and finished 1st!

Because of last week’s winner invert, Carter earned the pole for the A Main and had a FAST kart underneath him. We knew he had a great shot at getting that second Tuesday night win!

Unfortunately, for the second week in a row, the same kart got into him in turns 1 & 2 on lap ONE and sent him to the back of the field. 😭 Absolutely no fault of Carter’s, and understandably, he was frustrated.

But then he did what Carter does…

He got up on that wheel and DROVE THE HECK OUT OF IT! 💪🔥

From the back of the field ➡️ all the way to SECOND PLACE! 🥈

Would we have loved to see what he could’ve done starting from the pole with a clean race? Absolutely. But watching him shake off the frustration, put his head down, and race his way back through the field made us incredibly proud.

He had a fast kart. He drove a heck of a race. And we know that next Tuesday win is coming! 🏁🏆

Now we turn our focus to Saturday and get ready to do it all over again! ❤️🖤

🏁 Race Recap 8/18/26 🏁

With McKenna tied up with softball commitments, Carter was flying the Team Lyon Racing flag solo Tuesday night! And after a night of unfortunate events and some pretty epic comebacks, I think he may have officially earned himself a new nickname… THE COMEBACK KID!

Carter came out FAST. He laid down the 2nd fastest time in qualifying and went on to run the fastest lap in both his heat AND the A Main. There was absolutely no question about it, our boy was SCOOTIN’! 💨🏁

Unfortunately, that dreaded first-lap curse struck again in the A Main. After starting 5th, trouble on lap one sent him all the way to the back of the field.

But Carter wasn’t done!

He put his head down and went to work, picking them off one by one. With just 4 laps remaining, he had battled his way all the way back up to 4th, where he would finish the night!

From the back ➡️ to 4th place with the fastest lap of the race… we’ll take that comeback any day! 👏🏻

And because Carter is Carter, he’s already watched the races back, dissected just about every lap, figured out what he could have done differently, and is ready to get back after it Saturday! 🏁

We also had Papaw Lawing Phillip Lawing in attendance, which made the night extra special. ❤️ Carter may not have gotten to take Papaw to Victory Lane this time, but having him at the track means so much to all of us. His advice, encouragement, and knowledge mean the world to the kids, and we’re always grateful when he gets to be there cheering them on.

The Comeback Kid will be back at it Saturday! 😎🏁

A few weeks ago while we were in Atlanta for a Braves game, we wandered into Baseballism… and we’re so glad we did! ❤️⚾

As soon as McKenna spotted a DAL3 sticker, she had to have it. That led to a conversation with Brad (who deserves Employee of the Year, if you ask us! 🏆).

Brad took the time to hear all about McKenna’s racing journey, her love for Dale Earnhardt Sr., and why the #3 means so much to her. He was genuinely interested, incredibly kind, and went above and beyond by surprising both of our kids with a shirt.

It’s not every day you meet someone who leaves such a lasting impression just by being kind. Experiences like that are what make a business stand out, and because of Brad, our family is officially Baseballism fans for life!
