Nothing at all to complain about for the first time out in the late model. I learned a lot yesterday and had a lot of help doing it and I can’t thank all of those people enough for everything they did and continue to do.

We have a list of things to tweak/fix on the car for me to be 100% comfortable inside the car and then the car itself to be better.

And we didn’t put a scratch on it and it drove in the trailer at the end of the night. Got home before 11 and was drinking beer with all of those people.

Can’t wait to do it again.

We’ve been really slacking on any posts or updates lately but we’ve still been working.

Wasn’t going to post any pictures until we get to the track tomorrow for our test. But here is the ride for the remainder of 2025 as long as funds allow.

First order of business is a test day tomorrow at Hickory Motor Speedway followed by a race day on Saturday as long as the test day tomorrow goes smoothly.

Going to work on more regular updates again as things pick up around the shop.

Quick weekend recap.

Not the weekend we had hoped for with the double header.

Had good speed at Toledo all day in practice and qualifying. Small mistake in qualifying put us P3 on the chart. And after a 7 invert we started 5th. Broke a TPS sensor on lap 2 and did not finish.

Saturday was a similar story with good speed all day after fixing the TPS issue Friday night. We were able to qualify 2nd at Shadybowl and after a 6 invert started in 5th again.

Not sure what happen but the handling did not carry into the feature for the night and I struggled with the car early. Made it to the halfway point before the car ultimately over heated and went into limp mode so I pulled off. Another DNf.

Loaded it in the trailer after a rough weekend for us.

Back to the shop to work on it more and be back for the next one.

Angola Motorsport Speedway recap!

The 39 machine had decent speed off the truck on Saturday for first practice.

We made a couple adjustments afterwards that helped the car for second practice and picked up a couple spots on the speed chart.

Continued with more adjustments after that’s for qualifying and continued to go in the right direction and qualified 3rd.

Invert was a 10 which put us outside row 4 in 8th for the 50 lap feature.

Made my way up to 3rd a little after halfway and was doing what I could to track down the leaders before a caution came out. Fell back to 4th after the restart and before another caution came out. Was able to pass back for 3rd after that and that was where we finished.

Almost snuck out the win as the leaders were battling really hard in the final few laps but just didn’t have enough.

We made good adjustments all day, we just weren’t aggressive enough with them to have the speed we needed for the race.

Salem Speedway Recap.

Unloaded a rocket Saturday morning after fixing it from the Michigan wreck.

Made one change to the chassis during first practice and made it even better. Sat on top of the board for first practice and felt really good about the speed in the car.

Second practice was just to verify the feel from first practice and get it ready to qualify. Did just that and sat tied at the top of the charts.

Qualifying was again another solid performance but fell just short of the pole to the old car. The top 3 cars broke the original track record set back with the bigger restrictor and different tires. So we felt really good about the car for the race.

After a 12 invert and one car failing to make the line up we started 9th, inside row 5 for the feature. Not ideal to be on the bottom on a restart but we’ll make it work. Rode around for the first few laps as I had no where to go really. Caution flew and that gave me the opportunity to choose and move up to the top side.

Made my way through the field and up to second fairly quickly before caution flew again. On the restart I tried a move to the bottom that didn’t work and cost my some time but recovered quickly to take the lead a lap later.

Lead a good portion of the race, nearly half the laps before going into 3 and a part failed on the right rear and sent me into the outside wall. Felt like light contact and I tried to continue on into one where the part that broke sent me into a spin and ultimately into the wal, ending my day 9 laps short of the checkered flag.

We had an incredible car and unfortunately this seasons bad luck showed its head again. We’ll regroup and reevaluate the situation and go from there to try and make the next one!
