Season Championship Night Recap...
The last race of the season for the Dean's Bait & Tackle Shop Stock Compact #78 wasn't a bad night! Brandy ran several sets of hot laps scrubbing in a couple new tires. Went with a different brand & I kinda like them! She qualified 10th with her fastest lap to date at 16.7 sec. The rain started & wreaked havoc on the heat race placing her 5th. The feature, well, I'll just say that at lap 7 when it was called for rain she was in 5th & holding her own! Too bad it doesn't count for anything since they didn't run at least half the race. Now, throw that in with the 3 dropped points nights & Brandy finished the season tied for 11th out of 28 cars! Right, wrong, indifferent on opinions about dropping points nights is an entirely different conversation to be had at a different place & time. Anyway, even though the seasson was short due to rainouts, we had fun & both learned a lot again this year! I am extremely proud of Brandy & myself! The car definitely seen some good hits this season & has several other colors of paint on it besides black! 😆 Of course I have to mention our race family for helping us both out with the repairs & advice! Y'all know who you are, you're mentioned here all the time! We could not do this without you guys & gals behind us. We will be forever grateful to have found friends, no, family like you! And of course, huge shoutout to our sponsors for the support! Here's to next season, hopefully everyone will stay with us for the ride!
