Gear Review-
Those of you who have dove with me or have been in the store know that I have dove Garmin mki series computers for the past 4 or 5 years now. I’m not here to talk bad about Garmin, they are still good computers. For the past year now I’ve been having issues with my Garmin being glitchy and loosing connection with the transponder. The biggest issue is battery life. I can go into a dive with 75% charge and by the time I’m done with the dive the battery is drained. I have recently started diving Shearwater Perdix and the Perigrin. I have been so impressed by their performance I have made them my preferred choice for diving. Battery life is amazing, connecting to the transmitter is solid. The amount of information on one screen is incredible and is customizable if you want less. The display is excellent like the Garmin and very easy to read. If you are looking for a Christmas gift idea for that diver come in and see us!

One thing Dan loves about scuba diving is there is always a way to keep progressing and learning. This past weekend he accomplished his search and recovery and decompression diving certifications, as well as the instructor certification for both! A big thank you to Will Fox at Capt. Hook's Marina & Dive for coming out to do these certifications and braving our frigid water temps compared to his normal Florida water!

Think carving pumpkins is easy? You try it underwater…🎃. Join us this Saturday from 10-2 at Belmont for our annual underwater pumpkin carving. $50 gas card will be awarded for the best jack o lantern. You will need to come get your rentals on Friday.

Come kick off 🎃spooky👻 season with us!! Saturday October 3rd we will be holding our annual underwater pumpkin carving contest! We are doing it a bit earlier this year so we aren’t fighting the colder weather. This event is FREE! You are in charge of bringing your own pumpkin and carving knife, and we will provide the prizes!
