Happy September!!!
September 1st is a special day on the calendar: it marks the start of meteorological autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and meteorological spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Unlike astronomical seasons (which shift each year based on the Earth's tilt and orbit), meteorological seasons run on fixed three-month blocks tied to the annual temperature cycle — making them easier for forecasters and record-keepers to compare year to year. So today, while leaves start turning in the north, blossoms are opening in the south. 🍂🌸
