March 19 Trail Update:

🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴🔴 All trails closed

Unfortunately the sun has continued to eat away at our trails. ☀️ For this reason we have made the decision to pick up our remaining signs while we can and close our trail system.

Big thank you to all of our landowners for the use of your land, allowing us to do what we love. Shout out to our groomer operators Andy, Jesse, John, Kirk, and Randy for keeping the trails in great condition all season. Also a big thank you to our club members and officers Ben, Gerard, Gerry, Jan, Jason, Jeff, Patty and Shane that work hard behind the scenes to keep things going.

We hope that you all enjoyed riding our trails this season. Our first groom was December 10th, the last March 11th. Certainly an improvement over the last couple of years. Stay safe over the summer and we’ll see you next winter. ❄️⛄️

March 17 trail update:

We aren’t throwing the towel in on 2026 sledding season yet!! 😀❄️

We assessed the trails today post rain and warm up. Surprisingly the trails are still mostly snow covered and better than expected in most areas. We will however be pausing grooming operations until more snow arrives as the wet areas are going to be solid ice with the single digit temps forecasted tonight. The 10 day forecast looks promising for cold snd snow. ❄️

Trails open:

These major routes utilize mostly ATV or woods roads so have better snow pack. By keeping these open sledders will have access to food, gas, and lodging.

🟢 Trail 83 (From town Roys store/Lakeview to Sullivan rd where we meet Caribou)
🟢Trail 96 East (Martins store)
🟢Trail 96 West (Sly Brook/Ft Kent)
🟢 Motor Inn / Long lake

Trails closed:

We had to remove signage on the following trails as they mostly utilize field areas. For that reason the following trails are Officially closed for the season.

🔴 ITS 83 (Town to Madawaska)
🔴 81 B Frenchville (Dirt thru fields)
🔴 Sporting club (Flooded at stream)
🔴Trail 96/ITS 83 reroute section only (next to route 161/pole line) Stopped grooming several weeks ago r/t sun melting to dirt. Use regular ITS 83/96 East to connect to 96 West
🔴 Scenic
🔴McGovern
🔴Cozy Cabin

🔴Lake access in Sinclair via trail across from Martins is closed as snow melt exposed lawn. Please respect landowners and don’t cross the barriers.

While trails remain open, we highly recommend waiting to see if we can get some more snow to get them groomed again. If you do ride please use caution as all areas will become icy.

March 15 Trail Update:

Today’s the day to get out enjoy the trails as they are in excellent condition. The following were done last night as a few more inch’s of fresh snow fell.

ITS 83 (Madawaska to Sullivan road)
96 East (Martins store)
81 B ( Frenchville)
Motor Inn
Scenic

We will be removing our business signs and thinning out our field markers as the end of the season is near. All Trails remain open with the exception of the Sporting Club Trail which has a large water hole after the bridge. Will reassess future grooming operations and trail status after this weeks warmup.

3/12/26 Trail update

We didn’t get the storm we wanted but we got enough to make things work.
Groomer was out all day today assessing the trail system.

The following was opened up.

ITS83 top to bottom
(Few small water holes south of St Peter’s store)
96W to Sly Brook turn
96E to Martins General
Sporting club trail
Long Lake Cabins
81B to Frenchville turn
Motor inn
(Few water holes between motor inn and Lakeview)
***Power lines along Rt 161 were not groomed due to losing our base and it being rough. It is still passable on snowmobile. The old ITS83 near the power station is opened up to head towards st Agatha and Sinclair. Our 83 reroute is also open to head towards Sly Brook and Fort Kent.
Cold temps tonight will help things set up and more snow in the way Saturday.

Please be cautious as we are at our spring riding stage.

***Be advised that Jesse will be out with the groomer on 83 near Lakeview today for Angelfest. Snow shoe walk will cross the trail from 1-3pm near Lakeview campground.

We will pause our grooming operations for a few days due to the warm weather. Looking at the extended forecast we will be getting more snow mid week and will reassess then and begin grooming again if the base is still there. 🤞🏻.

3/5/26 Trail Update

We went out to groom last night and had a small mishap. We ended up blowing out a hydraulic line under the cab and had to park the groomer along 161 at the power station. Big shout out to John for going to take the line out today and a BIG THANK YOU to Brian Dechaine (BABKO fasteners) for donating the hose we needed! Groomer was back up and running late this afternoon and Kirk and John will open up the system this evening.
We have a few spots with low snow along Rt 161 and where we had a plowed road for a logging operation this winter. With warm temps next week, we will pause grooming, if the extended forecast is right and we get snow towards the end of next week we may be able to go out a few more times.
Get it while it’s here. Ride safe, and ride right!
Pray for snow!! ❄️
