This morning we completed the pistol range target stand. This one is built to last thanks to a few of our generous volunteers Dan Collin, Mike Fortin and Colby Caron for taking time from their very busy schedules and making this happen. Also deserving of a shout out is Travis Guerrette at Guerrette Welding for fabricating us these beautiful brackets that worked perfectly with our new setup! Not only did he get this done within a day of receiving the materials, Travis also donated his time to do so and the club is very grateful!

Lastly, the range is looking cleaner and we appreciate all the help from those who take their time to clean up more than they bring in during their visits, this allows us more time to dedicate to these larger projects.

The Black Bear Rod and Gun Club will be closed tomorrow, September 21, until 11am for range maintenance. If you'd like to volunteer your time for a few hours we will be there from 7am until the job is complete. The more hands we have the smoother it'll go! Look forward to seeing you there!

Some before, during, and after photos from this morning. Huge shout out to Dan Collin and Mike Fortin for showing up and helping, couldn't have done it without our clubs most valuable volunteers.

Id like to remind our club members that no one owns the Black Bear Rod and Gun Club, and while your membership dues pay for everything, we still operate on a volunteer basis. This range will only look as good as the work YOU put into it, no one is paid to pick up after you so please pick up after yourselves!

We will be planning on another day in the near future to construct the pistol and rifle range target stands, this will require more than 3 people to complete so please reach out if you're interested in helping!

RANGE CLEANUP DAY SUNDAY MAY 18 .

Its that time of year, the range looks like it could use some attention. We are looking for volunteers to help clean up the range and make it great again! Bring your own gloves, rakes, shovels, buckets etc. This should only take a few hours if we get enough people. We will have other projects going at the same time like rebuilding the rifle range 100 yard line target stands and building the pistol range back stop.

*PISTOL RANGE UPDATE*
*PISTOL RANGE TEMPORARY CLOSED DURING UPGRADES AND CONSTRUCTION*
PLEASE USE CAUTION over the next couple days/week as we're slowly upgrading the pistol range. Out with the old tarps in with new crush gravel.
Also if anyone wants/needs tarps for whatever use they want. They're free for the taking.
