4. Anyone without a verifiable USBC sanctioned average is not eligible to bowl

- All non-returning LBHR players will have their entering average adjusted to a USBC Challenge average as per the USBC Average conversion chart.

Last night, our team captains and officers held our summer meeting to discuss some of the complaints and suggestions from last year and to determine some of the big pieces for our 2026-27 league season. We decided on the following:

League Dates (Times may be subject to change)

- League Showcase Sweeper: Friday, August 28th @ 6:30pm
- League draft signup deadline: Sunday, August 30th@ 11:59pm
- League Draft: Monday, August 31st @ 6:30pm
- League Meeting/Oil Pattern Test: Thursday, Sept 3rd @ 6:30pm
- Week 1 of bowling: Monday, Sept 14th @ 6:50pm

Rule Changes & Additions

- We will remain with 32 teams. The league format package remains the same as last season with the exception of the regular season will now be 30 weeks long instead of 28. The change will have teams playing their own division only twice instead of 4 times. Teams will play matches against 28 of the 32 possible opponents in the league. The lane assignments will be improved to reduce playing next to the same teams all season, and will balance the number of matches teams bowl on each pair of lanes.

- The drawing to place teams into divisions will be done using the World Cup-style method and will take place during the league draft meeting. Any ties for positioning between pots will be broken by team captain average. (higher average = higher pot)

- Starting with the 2027-28 season, the entering average rules for players who did not bowl in the league the previous season will be changed: The first priority will be the player's composite average of the last 5 LBHR league seasons. If they are new to the league, their entering average will be a composite of the last 3 winter seasons the player has bowled (going back 5 calendar years). If they have no USBC average, they will enter the league at a 220 challenge average.

- Also starting in 2027-28, the league draft order for the 1st round will be determined by a weighted score, based on how the captain ranks in the following categories: Captain's average, the captain's finshing position in the previous season, and the captain + franchise combined average. The exact percentages will be defined in a later league meeting.

Another Nationals in the books. Had a great group of 30 strong descend on Reno. Thanks to all who bowled and especially to those who came out to support. Had great teamwork and communication, plenty of cashers, and a ring 9 pin short of a 300 for Nikita Koshelev . All in all, I'm always excited to compete on this stage. See you all in Vegas

We are excited to announce the league draft for the 2026-27 Lucky Bowler High Roller league season is now open! https://luckybowler.corsizio.com/register/69f3d43a8267262daffb6980

The league draft will be held at the end of August and competition begins in early September.

In regards to all questions about details for the upcoming season: the league will be holding a captains & officers meeting in July to finalize all dates and any significant league format adjustments for the 2026-27 season.

- As with previous seasons, draft entrants must pay a $50.00 application fee if they have were not a LBHR league member for the 2025-26 season.
- If drafted, $45 will be credited towards your league dues. All funds from undrafted players we be returned on a Lucky Bowler Pro Shop gift card.
- Applicants who have previously bowled the 2025-26 Season are not required to pay a draft fee.
- There will be no refund/gift card for drafted players who resign before the league starts
- Cash payments are accepted by league secretary Daniel Ducoing or president Robert Gonzalez or at any Lucky Bowler Pro Shop location
