CVYSL is proud to recognize the efforts of the Capital Valley Futbol Club in improving the game of soccer in our region. The new club is a result of a merger between the clubs of Capital Valley United, Carmichael Soccer, Citrus Heights Soccer, La Sierra Soccer Club and the Mission El Camino Soccer Club. Congratulation to DC Force for winning the 2018 U16 Boys Founders' Cup Championship!

DC Force played in the Cal North Founders Cup at Mistily Soccer complex in Ripon. On Saturday they won 7-0 against Napa Valley and 6-1 against Willits. Sunday morning they played Richmond, and won 7-1.

In the Championship game, DC Force played SWB - Soccer without Borders from Oakland and had a 4-0 victory.

All players should arrive 30 minutes prior to your tryout time to ensure you are checked in prior to tryout starting. Pre-registration is required. Walk up registration on the day, can result in your player losing out on tryout time.

CVU has a professionally licensed staff that includes high school and college coaches, international coaches and degrees and master's degrees in coaching.

CVU offers competitive year round soccer, professional weekly trainings, club sponsored skills sessions and GK trainings along with optional seasonal camp opportunities & an International Soccer Tour to the UK in August 2019

Capital Valley Youth Soccer League Spring Programs


CVYSL has offerings based on your age group this spring. For players born 2010 to 2012, we are offering a Spring Academy run by our professional Capital Valley United coaches. An academy shirt will be provided for all participants. Academy-style training is focused on development of each player in a fun environment!

For players born from 2004 to 2009, sign up your Fall team for the CVYSL Spring Soccer Season. See registration information and links below!

U6-U8 Spring Academy

For U6 and u8 aged players (born 2010-2012)
Program will be run by professional coaches from our competitive soccer club Capital Valley United (CVU)
9 week session
Feb 26-April 28th
U6 training Wednesday’s 530pm-630pm + Saturday’s from 11am-12pm.
U8 training Monday's and Wednesday’s 630pm-7:30pm + Saturdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm
Location Foothill High School
Cost $100 per player
CVYSL coaches are invited to help with the training and to learn on the field from CVU's professional coaches
An academy shirt will be provided for each player. We ask that each player wear black shorts, as well as socks, cleats, shin guards and bring water.

U8 and U10 Academy May thru July

CVU is proud to partner with the CVYSL to offer an age-appropriate training program for players.

U8 born between 1/01/2010 - 12/31/2011
U10 born between 1/01/2008 - 12/31/2009

The Academy will consist of Sunday morning training sessions, beginning in May, and will focus on age appropriate training sessions that center on fun, movement skills, coordination, foot skills and small-sided games. The training sessions will be led by an experienced professional coach with the help of assistants. The Academy will cost $75 per registrant which covers all 8 training sessions and each participant will receive an Academy training shirt. Each player will be expected to bring
their own properly inflated ball, shin guards and water to each training session.

Days: Sundays mornings during May through July
Cost: $75 for all sessions (Training Jersey Included)
