Southern Maine River Rats We are the Southern Maine River Rats Baseball Organization. We are a development program for players 6u - 18u. 🔴⚾️⚫️ Join the family!

We are proudly presenting the Southern Maine River Rats Baseball organization. This is a non-profit company started and operated by Jason Lariviere and Scott Hamilton. Our focus is to provide kids of all ages and skill level the fundamentals to be a successful baseball player. We will provide the public with various baseball clinics throughout the year in a friendly environment. We are home to over 200 Baseball and Softball players.

Championship Sunday is here!

Our SM River Rats 10U Elite takes the field at 8:00 AM, followed by our SM River Rats 9U Elite at 10:00 AM in the PG ME/NH Gold Bracket League Playoffs at New England Baseball Complex.

With a win, both teams advance to the Championship Game at 12:00 PM as they continue the hunt for gold.

Our SM River Rats 9U Elite and 10U Elite teams are headed to the Perfect Game League Championship Round after battling their way through pool play and earning the opportunity to compete for hardware!

This summer, help your player build skills, confidence, and a love for the game!

🗓 July 7-9 // July 13-15 // July 20-22 // July 27-29
🕙 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
📍 Maremont Park Field (S**o Little League)

For players ages 7-12, our camps focus on:
⚾ Hitting
⚾ Fielding
⚾ Throwing & Arm Care
⚾ Baseball IQ
⚾ Scrimmages & Game Play

💲 Flexible Options:
• $195 (3 Days)
• $75 (1 Day)
• $70/day (2 Days)

Whether your athlete attends one day or all three, they'll receive quality instruction, plenty of reps, and a fun, competitive environment.

The SM River Rats are excited to begin our 2027 tryout process as we prepare for our 14th season of developing athletes and building competitive teams throughout Southern Maine and beyond.

A tremendous weekend for the River Rats highlighted by tournament championships, strong finishes, and standout performances across the program! 👇

💥 9U ELITE
🏆 PG New England World Series – 3rd Place Finish

The 9U Elite squad earned a 3rd-place finish in their first tournament as a team at the Perfect Game New England World Series in Everett, MA. The Rats led the entire tournament with a .593 OBP and issued just 9 walks, the fewest of any team in the event.

Outstanding performances came from Barrett Turner, Xander Holmes, Joey Pulsifer, and Liam Higgins, but the entire roster contributed to an incredible weekend.
Most importantly, the group represented the River Rats' core values of Respect, Attitude, Teamwork, and Strength both on and off the field. Good luck this weekend as the #1 overall seed in the NH/Maine Majors Playoffs! 🐀⚾

Congratulations to our SM River Rats 11U Elite on capturing the 2026 PG New England World Series Championship today!

This group showed what SMRR baseball is all about all weekend long — toughness, energy, teamwork, and relentless compete. From the first pitch to the final out, these players battled through one of the top events in New England and earned every bit of this championship.

What makes this even more special is seeing the hard work from the offseason continue to pay off. The countless hours at Hitters Count, the winter training sessions, the commitment from our coaches, and the support from our families all helped build moments like this.

Extremely proud of this team, this coaching staff, and the way they represented the SM River Rats organization all weekend.

Memorial Day Championship Monday for the River Rats! 🇺🇸⚾

Good luck to our SMRR 9U Elite and SMRR 11U Elite teams as both squads compete today in the PG New England World Series Gold Bracket Championships!

9U Elite enters as the #4 seed while 11U Elite enters as the #2 seed after a tremendous weekend of baseball. Proud of the way our players, coaches, and families continue to represent the River Rats program.

On this Memorial Day, we also want to thank and honor all of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. We are forever grateful for those who gave everything for our freedom.
