Fifty years of ROFC started with one team, one field, and a group of people who believed Royal Oak needed a soccer club of its own.

This Saturday, we celebrate everything that's grown from that. Opening Day 2026 is also our 50th Anniversary Celebration, and it's bigger than any Opening Day we've run before.

Team photos, a proclamation from the City of Royal Oak's mayor, a Past Presidents' Panel, and plenty of memories about how this club came to be. Add in food trucks, bounce houses, a dunk tank, and merch, and you've got a full day at Normandy Oaks Park!

Soccer brings us together, but community keeps us here.

This Labor Day, we're thinking about everything that makes ROFC more than a club. The parents who show up rain or shine. The coaches who show up early to set up cones before the sun's even fully up. The volunteers who make tournaments, team meals, and everything in between possible.

Fifty years in, that's still what this club is built on.

To every family who's part of the ROFC community, thank you for being here. Have a great Labor Day!

Second place never felt this good...

U12 Girls Black battled through the Bowling Green Fall Challenge bracket all weekend and came out as finalists, falling just short in the championship match. From the first whistle to the last, this team showed grit, chemistry, and exactly what months of hard work look like on the field.

Huge credit to the coaching staff for putting these girls in position to compete for a title, and to every player who left it all out there this weekend!

ROHS Club Night was a HUGE success!

20 ROFC players walked out alongside the Varsity team for pre-game announcements, 8 more served as ball kids for the JVA and Varsity matches, and our U11 Boys White (Coach Josh) and U12 Boys Black (Coach David) teams took the field for a halftime scrimmage in front of a packed crowd.

And the Varsity boys sealed it with a win! 🙌🏻

This is what it looks like when a club and a community grow together. Thank you to everyone who came to support!

Some of the best team bonding happens when the whistle isn't blowing.

Our U12 Boys Pre-ECNL team took on the Elite bracket at the MI Jags FC Fall Tournament this weekend, going up against two tough opponents and even riding out a rain delay together. A strong pre-season showing and a good reminder that the toughest competition brings out the best in a team.

The fall season has begun. Way to go ROFC!!

Turnout like this doesn't happen by accident.

Our Fall Rec Coaches Kickoff brought out such a strong crew this past weekend that we needed three sessions to fit everyone in!

Rec Director Tori McIntosh led the group through a full rundown of tips, tools, and everything they need to kick off the season right, plus some fun merch and swag to send coaches off in style.

To every coach who showed up ready to learn: your teams are lucky to have you. Here's to a fall season full of growth, teamwork, and a whole lot of fun! ⚽💚

Its not too late to register your little kicker for our Fall Little Renegades program. Give your 3 or 4-year-old their first taste of the game in a fun, encouraging environment built just for them. Balance, ball skills, teamwork, and a whole lot of smiles.

50 years in the making...

On September 12th, ROFC turns Opening Day into something bigger. Team photos are still on the schedule, but so is a full celebration of five decades of soccer!

Stop by the 50th Anniversary Event Tent, hear the official proclamation from the City of Royal Oak's mayor, and catch a Past Presidents' Panel where the people who built this club share what it meant to lead it. Browse decades of memorabilia, then stick around for the alumni game (sign ups coming soon).

Food trucks from Marco's Pizza, Ray's Ice Cream, and Kona Ice will be on site, along with bounce houses, a dunk tank, and merchandise for sale or swap!
