HAPPY ALMOST FALL SEASON! We have a fun surprise with our new Fall Head Coach, Linnea Tureson! Coach Tureson began dancing at South Metro Dance Arts Center in Lakeville, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She was a competitive dancer for 15 years and earned multiple national championship titles throughout her studio career.
While dancing in the studio, Linnea was also a 4 year varsity member and 2 year captain of the Lakeville South Cougar Dance Team. During her time on the team, she earned three All-Conference honors and represented Lakeville South as an All-State Jazz dancer for three consecutive years.
Outside of dance, Linnea attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned a degree in Psychology and a minor in Human Resources Management. She enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and trying new restaurants with friends and family.
Linnea is also currently a Varsity Assistant Dance Coach for Lakeville South, where she has supported the program for the past four years. She also teaches various dance team prep and technique classes at South Metro Dance Arts Center.
Linnea is passionate about helping dancers grow both technically and personally. Her goal as a coach is to create a positive, supportive environment where every athlete can build confidence, develop their skills, and reach their full potential. Linnea is very excited for her first year coaching the Rosemount Fall Dance Team, and she can’t wait to see what the season brings!
