We have some very exciting news to share! 💖
As many of you know, Crystal opened the dance studio with the vision of building something special for our community, with the hope that one day the right person would come along to help it continue to grow and flourish. We’re so happy to share that we’ve found that person! 🎉
Crystal is at a point in her life where she needs to prioritize her
health and her family. While this was not an easy decision—especially after transitioning the Ga***rd location—she feels confident and excited knowing the Grayling studio is in great hands with our soon to be new owner, Rachel Leo. 🤍
Rachel brings a fresh vision and energy that will help elevate
everything we already love about this studio. “My husband Michael and I moved from a northern suburb of Metro Detroit to Northern Michigan in 2023 as we started our family. This area has become our forever home, and we’ve since welcomed two beautiful children. We can’t wait to explore everything this community has to offer together. Dance has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I trained throughout my childhood, danced and performed at Oakland University, and was a member of the OU Dance Team. I later coached my high school dance team and taught at the same studio for more than ten years. With
my background in early childhood education, I love blending classroom practices with dance training to create a nurturing, joyful environment where children truly thrive. There’s nothing better than witnessing those “light bulb” moments when a child suddenly understands a new step or gains confidence — that’s my favorite part of teaching. I believe a great studio nurtures not only technical growth, but also a dancer’s passion and the meaningful relationships they build along the way. I’m so excited for this new chapter and look forward to meeting you and your dancer soon!” 🌟
Our goal is to keep the core of the program consistent—continuing recreational classes, silks, and competitive teams—while also expanding opportunities and creating even more growth for our dancers. These transitions will begin in July, following the completion of this competitive season. 💃
We truly believe Rachel has the vision, experience, and heart to build something magical for the dancers and families in our community, and we are so excited for what’s ahead! ✨
