Why start swim lessons at just 2 months old? 💙🐳
At La Petite Baleen, our infant lessons are about so much more than swimming. They're designed around child development and help babies build comfort, confidence, and familiarity in the water during a time of incredible growth.
In a typical lesson, you'll see songs, games, tummy time, gentle submersions, movement through the water, and plenty of parent-child interaction. Along the way, babies practice breath control, strengthen developing muscles, experience new sensory input, and begin building the foundation for future swimming and water safety skills.
Parents often tell us their babies sleep especially well after swim class—and many make lifelong friends with other families along the way!
Most importantly, lessons are fun. We believe children learn best through positive experiences, repetition, and age-appropriate challenges. That's why our curriculum is carefully designed to meet children where they are developmentally and help them grow into strong, happy, confident swimmers who love the water.
