Welcome to the Thunder Mountain Challenge at Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park!

Debuting October 3, Thunder Mountain Challenge is a one-of-a-kind climb event at Lake of the Ozarks featuring The Bridal 5Kave, the 3-Hour Challenge, and the 6-Hour Challenge.

Each climb up Thunder Mountain gains approximately 300 feet of elevation in about 1/2 mile, making this race short, steep, scenic, and unforgettable.

Whether you’re racing the 5K for time or seeing how many climbs you can complete in the 3-hour or 6-hour challenge, Thunder Mountain is built to test your legs, your lungs, and your grit.

Ha Ha Racing Events is very excited to be working with Bridal Cave on a brand-new race debuting Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 a.m. at Bridal Cave & Thunder Mountain Park!

Come conquer Thunder Mountain in its debut year.

Choose your challenge:
The Bridal 5Kave
3-Hour Challenge
6-Hour Challenge

Each climb up Thunder Mountain gains approximately 300 feet of elevation in about 1/2 mile.

The Bridal 5Kave will complete three out-and-backs. In the 3-Hour Challenge and 6-Hour Challenge, the winner is the runner who reaches the top of Thunder Mountain the most times within the race window.

There will be one aid station located at the top of Thunder Mountain. Runners will pass the aid station after every out-and-back. A check-in captain will track each runner’s climbs in real time throughout the event.

All finishers in The Bridal 5Kave, 3-Hour Challenge, and 6-Hour Challenge will receive a finisher award. Awards will also be given to the top overall male and female finishers in each race.

The Wandering Bobcat 5 Miler is the most approachable way to be part of Lake of the Ozarks Endurance Runs.

You don’t have to be an ultrarunner. You don’t have to be fast. You can run it, hike it, or do a little of both.

It’s five miles through Lake of the Ozarks State Park, a race-day atmosphere, and a chance to be part of the weekend without taking on the longer distances.
