Mayorga Coffee

Mayorga Coffee Latino-Owned Organic Specialty Coffee Company. We roast and sell coffee that is better for our farmers, for the planet, and for you. Join the movement!

We believe that the root cause of systemic poverty in Latin America is the manner in which agricultural products have been grown, financed, and traded since the 1800’s. Small farmers—usually in remote areas—have been affected the most because they have not had access to quality education, training, financing, or distributors that sell directly to retailers or consumers. We believe this to be inten

tional poverty that has been created by “middlemen” that have become accustomed to manipulating the supply chain in an effort to make money at the expense of hard-working farmers. The most frustrating part of this is that they’ve been using consumers’ hard-earned money to achieve this and usually by selling at prices that are unfair to consumers. We’re working to change this! We work directly with small coffee farmers and engage them as respected partners. We help them to grow diversified organic crops that protect their environment while creating additional income for them. We also believe that consumers need to have access to products that are good for them and are priced fairly. That is why we will always seek the most efficient way to source and sell our farmers’ products, eliminating all middlemen that don’t add value, and operating a business model that creates value for our customers. We’ve been working on this since 1997 and, to be honest, it hasn’t made us too many friends in the industry, which is a good sign. The end result is delicious, healthy, quality products that consumers can purchase at prices that are fair from the producers to the consumer.

Decaf coffee has to lose the caffeine. Not the flavor. ☕️

That’s why our Decaf Cubano Roast uses the Swiss Water® Process—a method that removes caffeine using water, temperature, and time, without chemical solvents.

The result? The bold, smooth Cubano flavor you love, just without the caffeine. ❤️

Scaling a business is tough, but losing your core values along the way is much harder. ☕️

At Mayorga, we’ve intentionally chosen never to accept outside investor capital. Why? Because we want our decisions to be guided by our three core pillars: our producers, our team, and our customers. Not by shareholders chasing maximum returns.

Instead of cutting corners to inflate margins, we reinvest our profits back into our people, better equipment, and sustaining long-term relationships with coffee farmers. Our goal has never been about finding an exit strategy; it’s about making a lasting, positive impact.

We’re profitable, we’re just not greedy.

More than just a morning routine. It’s a commitment to the planet 🌍☕

Organic means coffee grown exactly how nature intended, keeping harmful synthetic chemicals out of the land and your body. Regenerative farming takes it a step further by actively healing the land through natural composting and cover crops so the soil gets stronger every year.

Every time you buy Mayorga, you aren't just drinking coffee—you're funding real change 🌱

The easiest coffee upgrade requires exactly one thing: better timing. ☕️

The moment coffee is ground, it starts losing the aromas that give your cup so much of its flavor. That’s why grinding only what you need, right before you brew, can make a noticeable difference—no fancy equipment or complicated technique required.

Try it with your next cup and taste the difference. 👀 And however you like your coffee—light, medium, dark, or very dark—we have a blend for you. Shop Mayorga whole-bean coffee via the link in our bio. ❤️

Let’s clear something up: Dark roast isn’t bad coffee. Bad coffee is bad coffee.

Historically, some companies used dark roasting to cover up cheap, lower-quality coffee. We’re proud to do the opposite. We start with high-quality, specialty-grade organic Arabica from our producers across Latin America, with a focus on regenerative practices and rigorous testing.

From the sweet, smooth Cubano to the extra dark, chocolatey Muy Macho, we roast intentionally and stay true to our heritage instead of chasing clout

Green coffee defects are one of the make or break factors when it comes to the quality of your coffee,

Green coffee is commonly sorted into two categories:

primary defects, like mold or insect damage, which ruins flavor and can make coffee unsafe, or secondary defects, like chipped beans that can throw off the taste.

That’s why we partner directly with our organic producers in Latin America who harvest only ripe cherries and sort out defects at the source. On top of this, we go the extra mile by testing samples pre-shipment, on arrival, and before roasting.

We do this to ensure every bag is specialty grade—meaning it scores an 80+ by a Q-grader. Our coffee averages 83+, so you get all the intended flavor notes without the defects getting in the way. Quality is about verification at every step.

Do you know who grows your coffee? 🌱☕️

In Capucas, Honduras, what started with 54 producers and a shared belief has grown into a community of more than 800 farmers building something together.

From creating their own mill and drying patios to investing in healthier soil, regenerative organic farming, and women-led initiatives like Flor de Campo, Capucas is proof that exceptional coffee starts with strong communities.

We’ve worked directly with Capucas since 2012, because knowing the people behind your coffee matters.

Meet the people behind your next cup. ❤️
