The lineage of the technique that is available at Wyo Faction can be traced directly to the roots of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu through Professor Dave Ruiz of Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, whom had the privilege of learning directly under Grandmaster Helio Gracie, as well as later with Master Rigan Machado, to his student Professor Robert Wunderlich, also of Colorado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, down to Instructor Dave Wenig, whom now brings Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Rock Springs.

We will be closed tomorrow and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday, reopening on Saturday morning for classes. We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones!

We have two changes to announce to our schedule beginning next week. Firstly, we have a minor shift to our No-Gi Drills classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays to 8-9:30am. Secondly, we will be adding a BJJ Comp Class to Mondays 12-1pm. This class will focus on competition preparation and will be led primarily by Coach Kyle McLendon.

We will be closed Saturday, August 30th through Monday, September 1st in observance of Labor Day, reopening for classes on Tuesday evening, September 2nd at 5pm. We hope everyone has a safe and fun-filled holiday weekend, and good luck to everyone going out for opening day archery!

We have a couple of exciting schedule changes starting this week to share with everyone!

Firstly, we will be rearranging our Saturday morning classes, moving the Junior Grapplers class to 10am, the BJJ Fundamentals class to 11am, and Open Mat to 12pm. Additionally, the Saturday Junior Grapplers class will now be a Judo focused session with Sensei David Biederman.

Secondly, Sensei Biederman will also begin teaching the recently added "MMA Striking" class (a footwork-focused class) on Friday afternoons 3:45pm-4:45pm.
