Dear Members of DeerTexas.com,
It’s been brought to my attention that one of our members (a hunter) recently paid one of our advertisers (a landowner) for a deer lease on property that the so called “landowner” had no legal right to. The advertiser had five (5) listings on our website, all in the Pineywoods Region of East Texas.
The counties the ads were posted in included Hardin, Jasper, Cass and Red River counties. A complaint has been filed in at least one of those counties and it’s my understanding that an investigation is underway.
All five ads have been suspended. If you’ve leased any land from anyone with any of the following names in any of those counties, or anywhere else in Texas, particularly in the Pineywoods Region, please contact me ASAP. The names are:
Lee White
James White
Hudson White
Dana Allen
Please note: This is NOT an accusation and everyone is presumed innocent until guilt is proven in a court of law. I make every effort to ensure this kind of thing doesn’t happen. However, on the very rare occasion that it does, I do everything possible to work with law enforcement officials to help bring the scammer(s) to justice and have had excellent success in the past. Let’s all hope justice gets served in this case. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
