Charlotte Colonials-NY

09/26/2026

Would like to start by thanking everyone it’s been a crazy 10 years! Unfortunately our time has come to an end. Nothing we planned as we had about 45 players looking to continue strong for this season with a strong recruitment taking place.
Our head coach stepped down. Living 1000 miles away made things difficult to try and find a new coach that was trust worthy and capable to do the job with the same standards for our players.

A new team was started by departing head coach. Rochester River Kings, if your looking to continue playing football give them a look! Same mission new team!

Thank you again from our family!
This has been a tough moment for us all.
Izzy & Nico send there love to everyone!

IT STARTS AND FINISHES IN THE TRENCHES! 🐗💪

Every year, the Charlotte Colonials focus on what we believe is the most important position on the field. While every position plays a vital role, we’ve always believed that the offensive line is our biggest priority.

With that being said, we want to give a HUGE S/O to our offensive linemen this season! Thank you for putting in the work day in and day out, battling through every practice and every game, and helping this organization become the #2 rushing team in the NFA! 🏈🔥

We’re ALWAYS about the HOGS! 🐗

As Coach Morales always says:

“It starts and finishes in the trenches.”

S/O to ALL our OL & DL — the guys in the trenches who put in the work, do the dirty work, and set the tone for this organization.

BIG MEN. BIG HEARTS. BIG RESULTS.

And last, but certainly not least — the anchor, the captain, and one of the most humble people you could ever meet: Hiram Ortega. 🖤❤️

Hiram, thank you for the many years you have dedicated to playing football with your heart, passion, and absolutely no ego. You have been a true veteran of this program, and from the moment you stepped on the field until the moment you walked off, you gave everything you had.

But what makes you special goes far beyond football.

You have spent years helping young men understand that there is so much more to life than believing you are the greatest thing walking. You showed them what humility, leadership, character, and accountability look like. You didn’t just play the game — you became an example for the players, the organization, and the entire community.

Thank you for being a leader, a role model, a mentor, and an incredible human being. Your impact on CCG will never be measured by statistics or wins and losses. It will be measured by the young men you influenced and the lives you helped shape.

Hiram, we wish you nothing but the very best in this next chapter. We’re looking forward to the day you come back to the sidelines as a coach, while also getting the opportunity to spend more well-deserved time with your beautiful family.

Thank you for every minute, every sacrifice, every ounce of effort, and every bit of love you have poured into this organization.

We will forever be grateful for the name Hiram Ortega. ❤️🖤

Once CCG, always CCG.
